Hey Poltergeist,

If you get a minute could you check your iPod Firmware? Just wondering what you're running compared to mine.

Thanks

The iPod says 1.3. Would I need to connect it to iTunes to get more detail then that?

Just a little update... I got all my songs on the SD.. About 8000 of them. They all play and they're all there. A good potion of those were purchased on iTunes, and a couple other online Mp3 stores... THe rest have been ripped from CD, basically since CD burners came into existence. So I've got flac,,Mp3, .Wav and they all work without doing any converting. Im running a Lexar 64GB SD card, formatted to NTFS.

This is the card I'm using....

One thing I love about this, is there is no gadget to steal.. My iPod touch I had was stolen out of my last truck. Now They probably wouldn't even know this was there, in the event of a break in.

My point exactly.. no gadget, no wires, no tying up your phone's resources. ... just cleaner and easier with SD.

Thanks, I haven't been able to get them to work. But I was using an older sd card. I may try a newer card.

I havent tried a movie yet... Would be kinda cool.. Im guessing they only play when the vehicle is immobile?

Correct. Movie only plays in park. When in drive only the sound from the movie plays.

I watch a lot fo movie when im waiting for carry out or waiting for the misses to make it into the truck. Trying to figure out how to play you tube of my phone so I can watch IT tutorials.

You can fit a lot of movies on a 2 TB drive.

looks like I'll be picking up a SD card. So sick of how slow my Ipod is switching songs. If this is as seamless as it sounds i will be very happy!

It's not super fast... But I have 8000 songs on mine.. It is a bit slow while scrolling. But I don't mind.

I take it the SD reader can handle a class 10 card?

Mine is a class 10, so it's safe to say that, yes, this is true.

cool, I just looked.. mine is 4 class. I just ordered a 10 class.. maybe it will help the music load up a little faster at start up...
