Flowmaster 10 vs 40 series

I was wanting to put an exhaust on my truck. I was looking at the flowmaster 10 or 40 series or maybe the 44. I want my truck to be plenty loud but I also drive the highway everyday. I don't wanna be annoyed and find the enterior noise rediculous. What do you guys think I should go with? Im gonna do just a single pipe and probably 4 inch tip. By the way my truck is an 05 silverado with 5.3.

I had a Flowermaster 40 on my 05, 10, and 11 Sierras and I never had a problem with the drone. It's there but I never found it intrusive. I only ever ran turndowns dumped before the rear axle so I imagine with a side rear exit the drone would be almost non-existent.

Thanks for the info have you heard the Flowmaster 10? I was really hoping to install that if the interior noise wasn't bad

I have never heard a 10 that I am aware of. Most of my GMC friends have 40s or stock and my Ford friends have Magnaflows or stock.

Hmmm seems like no one runs a super 10...

I think the super 10 is their loudest... So it probably drones.

I have the Flowmaster super 44 on my 2009 Silverado 4.8. I have dual straight pipes after the cadilic converter. It sounds amazing when it starts up and i always get heads to turn. I do most of my driving on the interstate and have no problem with any drone. I mean it is obviously there if you want to listen to it, but it does not hinder conversation in the car or on the phone. I definitely recomend one that is the "delta flow" its just a better sound for a truck in my opinion. I went to youtube and watched tons of videos before i settled on the super 44.

Alright thanks! I've settled on either the Super 40 or 44. Do you know the difference between the two?

So 40 is the same as the 44 except the 40 has a quieter interior?

The super 40 yes, The original 40... Stay away. Far far away

Should I do duals if so how?

Single 3" in dual 2.5" out muffler, and run them where you want. I prefer a single with the corsa tip.

I left dual exhaust in high school. But there are lots of people who like it. Personal preference.
