kstruckcountry Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I don't like wheel locks. They get full of dust to where they have to be washed out to be removed. Not to mention any decent thief can get them off.
NitroCherokee Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 This little kit saved my butt a few times in the dealership when customers had lost the keys for their wheel locks http://www.chdist.com/product/wheel-lock-removal-kit-9-piece-standard-lock-kit-382681.aspx?var=101296&cid=pla_goog&mr:trackingCode=B0BFB600-F7AB-E211-B5F8-90E2BA285759&mr:referralID=NA&mr:device=c&mr:adType=pla&mr:ad=12429980707&mr:keyword=&mr:match=&mr:filter=21844073347&source=google_pla&origin=pla&gclid=CKXVlNPNqLsCFcuSfgodZ2AAgA
Wolfmanjohn Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Please PM me if any (cough, cough) 20" unused factory wheels (cough, cough) show up.
dgrinnell Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Locks only keep the honest people away... and I like the above ^
plunk77 Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 locks won't keep someone from stealing your wheels but it adds extra work and some won't risk spending the extra time to take them off when they could just move on to another car that doesn't have them. That's the way I've always thought about it
SarahsGMC Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 I like the idea of my locking lugs but they are a pain in the ass to deal with. Sent from the toilet
timmyleejohnson Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 That right there is nothing but profit for the service department if accounting is clever enough to not take the deductible out of service's account. Just saying i'd like to be the writer who gets to write 51 tickets for a set of wheels, lugs and installation. It's so slow at work right now i'd take anything, really...
SarahsGMC Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I have 2 keys why waste money on that Sent from the toilet
TJay74 Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I wont do the stupid cheesy wheel locks like GM uses, I have used Gorilla locks in the past and never had an issue with someone stealing my wheels.
hzhardy Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Locks do you no good if the thief has a set of taper sockets
mike94silverado Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Here's what's wrong with this country. That is a lot of work to pull off stealing tires off 51 vehicles in 4 hours. Takes time, planning, and execution. Wouldn't it be great if that effort was put to worthwhile use and not theft?

This was a few knuckleheads who like Chevy wheels a lot more than I do. Mike
Mckenzie Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 they'd make a good nascar pit crew, atleast for taking off the wheels quick
