Yup... Magnaflow 22", resonator delete, RTP dual outlet exhaust tip. Barely louder than stock... I'll be replacing the Magnaflow with Flowmaster 50..... soon!

Looks good! If you haven't had the muffler on long give it a few miles to burn in..it will get just a tad louder. I really hate to read your last statement. :nonod: I guess if you just want the sound though...

Guys, I got a quick question? What high flow cats do you guys prefer? Has anybody decided to do headers all the way back yet. I'm running the 6.2.

I'd be glad to take your advise! I've always preferred Magnaflow over Flowmaster. Hopefully it will burn in a little louder, nothing too obnoxious (Like my Vette! ), but a nice deep rumble...

That's good info, thanks. I just ordered the #15329 yesterday. To summarize, you didn't like it mainly because the tip stuck out too far? Or was it too loud, etc?

I don't like it because the tip sticks out to far, a few more inches and you could trip on it also the 5 inch tip looks like a diesels exhaust and does not match this truck. If my truck was lifted 2.5 inches with 33's and if there was away to adjust the tip..which there is not it might look ok.

Other than that it sounds awesome.very mild until WOT and no drone, that is why I am having them install the same 22" muffler on the factory exhaust.

Damn those wheels!! I freakin love em!! Fine truck you have there! Yeah, I absolutely despise Flowmaster. Been around too many dyno tests where results were not so good. Some cases were less than stock. :noway:

Thanks David... Yeah, I do love the truck. I traded in my '13 LT and decided to go all out on this one. I'll stick with the Maggie and see how it sounds by the end of summer. Only got 300 miles on this muffler.

It should If your still not happy, look into getting a Hooker Aerochamber. They have a great sound and also make great power.

Cool. It'll be interesting to see how mine fits. It was only made last week so they may have updated the design. Either way I've got the tools to make it fit the way I want.

I hear ya about the diesel look. The size is definitely in that ball park. If it tucked under better and didn't stick out, would you like it then??

Post up when you do! A good rule to follow on installation of catbacks is to snug clamps, adjust, snug clamps, adjust, .... then tighten!! This way everything comes out like it should.

I had the Magnaflow cat back exhaust installed part #15318. It sounds awesome with no drone! But looks like sh#t! the Magnaflow specs on their website when I ordered it said it was Tubing O.D. size 3.5 in. Tip O.D. size 4 in. well the website was wrong it's actually 4 in. Tubing O.D. size with a 5in Tip. I called Magnaflow about the advertising error on their website and all I got was an apology, they have since corrected the site except for the long box part #15329 which still shows the wrong specs. To top it off the 5 inch exhaust tip sticks out 3 1/2 inches past the body all the way to the edge of the rear bumper side step...Get-Er-Done :driving:

I told the Magnaflow tech that they should include a free Confederate Flag rear window sticker and a Get-Er-Done bumper sticker with those kits! I'm from SD and a card carrying right winger :M16: but this is a little to much redneck for me.

My GMC dealer is refunding the $750 I paid them and putting the factory exhaust back on and replacing the factory muffler with a Magnaflow 22" and removing the flapper valve then topping it off with a factory GMC chrome exhaust tip for $385. I'm having this done on 5/7. I will post updates next week.

I have the 14" magnaflow with third cat delete. Sounds Fing amazing! I also have the AFM off so if this drones when V4 is active, I couldn't say. It does not drone with my set up.

I will post some pics tonight so you can see how hideous it looks. I ordered it because their website specs said the Tip was 4 inches. My 2009 GMC 6.2 factory exhaust was 3.5 OD with a 4 inch tip, I liked that look.

The 14 factory exhaust is 3.5 like my 09 was the only difference is the goofy flapper valve and the exhaust is reduced to 3 after the resonator on the 14, and like others have pointed out the 14 exhaust is pretty stout. My accessory guy at my GMC dealership recommended adding the 22" Magnaflow and deleting the flapper valve from the beginning, but I insisted I wanted the 15318 kit..wish I would have listened to his recommendations.

I think the 6.2L 15318 kit sounds Fing amazing!..Just looks like sh!t..maybe it would look better if the five inch tip came straight out the top of the hood! Then I could hang a bulls nut sack off my hitch. Edited by 1972c10custom

Hopefully my dealer knows this..they did have four 5.3L trucks on the show floor with dual magnaflow exhausts kits and they all looked good.
