Not 100% sure on that, but it should say on their site. I would assume You should be able to get a full system with the muffler of your choice. I could be wrong tho.

For what it's worth, if you just buy the muffler alone and have it welded on and then run the pipes the way you want, it would be much cheaper.

I looked it up on the site and it says 22". I watched a youtube and the 22" sounded good when he took off with it. I'm thinking I want to try and get a 18" and just weld it in with the resonator and flapper removed. I want the 14" but with pulling my boat a lot and on the freeway it might be too loud for the wife and kids.

From your statement here, you should be very pleased with the 18". 22" is very quiet. It is pretty much same as stock, just a deeper tone. If you listen to my videos I posed a couple posts back, you can hear how the 18" sounded on my truck. It sounded great and I had no complaints, I just wanted something a little louder for my taste. I'm not married and don't have kids so no harm no foul for me!

Great ill try it. I watched the vids. They were great thanks. I didnt see one of the 18 taking off. I work late at times and i have a feeling the 14 will wake the neighbors. Haha.

Did you cut out the third cat when you put yours in? I'm looking at doing that.

Any MPG increase from your exhaust?

Their SI/SO system uses a 22" muffler but their SI/DO system uses a 18" muffler. I prefer the sound of the 18" muffler myself but don't want to go with a dual out setup.

A single outlet 18 wouldn't be any louder than a dual outlet 18. My guess is they offer both the 22" and 18" mufflers (though in different configurations) to appeal to people with different sound level preferences.

I left the 3rd cat alone. The 3rd cat is only there to meet emission standards in California. Some have taken that one out, but there is no gain in performance or sound from removing the 3rd cat.

I think my MPG probably decreased because it sounds so good I can never keep my foot out of it! Honestly though, there is probably no change in MPG.

I see so is a single 18 louder then a dual 18? I like the single as well.

There is no difference in sound or performance from single out or dual out. They only difference would come if you ran true duals. That would probably give you a few extra HP and make it significantly louder.

So after about a month of pulling my hair out trying to decide on an exhuast juggling between the corsa sport, bola atak/S-type I ended up going with the volant cat-back. I just couldn't swallow a grand on a sound upgrade haha. I don't remember reading much about it on here so i figured id write something.

Im very happy with it, it is somewhat loud, id compare it to the Flowmaster 40 as far as volume, but i think it is a much better tone. You can definitely hear it in the cabin but i don't think bad, and when your up to speed and the radio is on you can hardly notice until you get on it. The quality for the price i was very impressed although I didn't like how it came with the U-bolt clamps, so i replaced those with band clamps.

I also was able to get the stock system out in one piece

Ok going to throw this idea out there, not sure if it would really work or not, but something I've been thinking about.

So currently my setup is just 14" maganflow with flapper/resonator removed. Sounds great and I'm very pleased. I will soon be getting a set of longtube headers and I know this will increase the sound a good bit. I for one will love it and highly doubt I'd get tired of it. On the other hand, my gf or anyone else that is in my truck or going on a long road trip will probably drive them crazy. So what I'm wondering is if I could have a cutout installed just before the muffler and have a bypass installed with a resonator and it will attach to a Y-pipe just after the muffler. Essentially I'm trying to think if there is a way possible to have the luxury of headers, but with an optional sound deadening method to tame it down when needed. Some might think this is stupid, but just something I've been thinking of.

I came up with this little drawing to show what I'm thinking.

Has anyone had their flapper relocated with a bypass tube in 8n front of the muffler for a custom system. I have a RCSB truck and there's no GM/ Borla kit for it so I was thinking of having my local muffler shop (very competent) build me something out of the stock parts. I don't want anything loud, just a little rumble and no drone. I won't be deactivating my DOD just for a no drone exhaust.

I just did the Gibson exhaust on my truck. Sounds good with no drone on the highway. Think I paid $520 for the stainless version. Just thought I'd post for people on the fence and worried bout drone. Glad I went this route cause I really didn't want to pay a grand for gm/Borla.

GM Borla will be installed Tuesday. Know it's tame for many, but I'm not looking to announce coming and going early hours to my neighbors, or lose V4 functionality, but I do want to hear some growl from the truck. Hoping it will be the compromise I'm looking for. I'll try to post a sound clip after...the void of clips/videos out there for this system is surprising.

I'm planning to get a magnaflow put on, cut third cat and single out. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks.
