It will sit level but it wont appear level.  The rear fender on k2 trucks sits lower.   A 4/6 on dc and cc should appear level

Looks like les schwabs threw all my parts away. So I'll have to buy oem hangers/shackles again to go the extra inch.

They didn't give you back the stock parts? Any shop I've ever had do work for me had always given me back the stock parts, as long as they are reusable.

Nope. Threw everything away. But apparently the 7" kit in the rear isn't just the shackle difference like I thought. The leaf spring purch, trans spacer, axle saddles, u bolts, leaf hangers, shackles. All different just for that additional inch.  I'm kinda blown away. Comes as a kit. So I ordered it. Which means i now have a 6" rear drop kit for sale lol. Thanks for everyone's help.  Fyi part #6525 is the 5 or 6" drop. And #6526 is the 7" drop.

A flip kit drops you 7''.

The only difference in the kits is that the 5 or 6 inch kit comes with lift hangers to raise the rear back up to a 5 or 6 inch drop from the 7'' the flip kit gives you.

Ok, so that's what I currently have. I was confused because I was told at the dealership it was the 4/7 kit. After going to schwabs who installed it. They told me no, it was the 4/6. So I called the belltech distributor and they told me I ordered the #6525 and it was for the 5 or 6. With like you said the lift hangers. And I needed the #6526 which aparently does not. They also said ubolts are longer, and leaf spring purch is bigger and some other things. None of it really made since to me. I'm just going off what they told me. I know one thing. Les schwabs does not know what they are talking about regarding the drop kit.

I simply do not like the little bit of rake it currently has. It may not be much but I noticed it as soon as I got it home. Seeing pics online of the 4/7 and looking at my truck. There is too much gap in the fender.

I'm completely new to this. So sorry if I'm boring everyone. And thank you for your help.

The only way I could see the 7'' perches being different would be because they might set the rear axle at a different pinion angle than the 5/6 kit.

It's weird, I have to have a tiny bit of rake, but some people hate it.  lol

I'm just anal about stance. Lifted or lowered. Everything has to straight. No rake. Everyone has their own style. I appreciate all vehicles and work that's done to them. Regardless if it's my style or not. Thank you for your help.

Finally decided whether the leveling kit or drop shackles were going in. I'm quite happy with the turn out. Even with the 3" of drop theres just enough rake for me.

So after much communication between belltech and les schwabs. What a headache.

I purchased the truck with a said to be 4/7 kit on it. I kept looking at photos and at my trucks stance and it didnt look accurate.

So schwabs said they put a 4/7 on it. It was much higher. After reading part numbers and seeing the rear hanger I knew they had not.

I went back in to schwabs and they did a bit of research and told me they did the 4/6 which is what I figured. Well, belltech told schwabs that the 5 and 6 inch in the rear is completely different than the 7"  (aparently this is why they do not only sell the rear leaf hangers, but as a complete kit which baffles me because it's the only thing I can tell is different) so i paid the 220 for the 7" kit. I'm taking it back to them tomorrow to complete beit's free. It's free. Today, I was looking under my struts and noticed multiple rings. I was told by belltech that for the 4" drop i only needed 1 10mm ring installed. So now schwabs will be fixing that as well.

This is why I work on my own things. Granted I'm not a mechanic, but even i can follow instructions.

Not sure if anyone is reading my posts. Lol I'm sure its comical. I love fixing what other have done.

So after tearing into my front end. I found that schwabs added (3) .8mm spacers on top of the 10mm. So after removing the .8mm spacers, my front end is sitting correctly. I'm very pleased with the outcome.

As for my rear end. I ordered the oem rear hangers (because schwabs threw mine away) and .5" belltech shackle so that I can get my 7" drop.

My tire up front is too big. (Fender is damn near sitting on top of the tire) Running 305/40r22 toyo proxie 2. Which sucks because they are brand new. But perhaps I'll only have to replace to 2 front and I can still run the same size in the rear.

So according to belltech "sarah"  they said the 7" flip kit comes with their .5" shackle?? Mine currently has the factory shackle with the 1 or 2" lift hanger. Is this untrue? I really dont trust their info right now.

Ok thanks for that info. Belltech tech support told me I had to have their .5" shackle so I ordered it. I'll make sure to return it. Thank you very much for the info. Always trying to sell you something you dont need. So would the .5" shackle actually raised me up since it shorter than the oem shackle?

    • It's possible the two trucks are using different body control modules which is why yours works and the OP's doesn't.   So much in these newer vehicles depends on model/trim configurations, production date. They don't all use the same modules like back in the day.
    • I forgot to answer the question as per what market mine is set to and yes I finally found that area on mine and yes its also set to America.   So here's something I realized as I wasn't looking at that part in the Sierra section until now, your right that what I see here as choice 3 under Sierra which says 07/2023-06/2026 ( 433 MHz 13542523 ) it has no choice 5 for tire pressure selection. Where as it does under the Chev choice. However I kept going down the list within the Sierra and I am really wondering if choice 9 will work for your truck as it has the same model number and hertz sensor as my truck. I would say try that choice first, if that doesn't work then jump over to the Chev section and again choose that same model and hertz choice as for some reason the Chev section gives the choice 5 of tire type/pressure selection for going back a number of years. Could very well be an Autel thing that they just didn't get the updates all done properly under Sierra but anyway first try that selection 9 I suggested under Sierra and then go from there.
    • Looking for this piece that holds the hose clamp in place. I have the hose clamp just not that other piece. Dealers and wrecking yards in my area will not sell just that piece. They want you to buy the whole air tube $100 +/- to get that $5 part.  that piece isn't molded to the air tube as I looked at my friends truck. It's held on by a screw and nut. I'm trying to put the OEM parts on the truck as the previous owner butchered things up installing an aftermarket CAI. It really looked homemade. 🤣 Thanks
    • Ok I missed that part that yours is a GM. The strange part is that the choice for year ranges and within the year of 2026 is different on the Sierra then on the Chev for some reason as I am looking at my tool at the Sierra choices. Now I am guessing you see as to your sensor part number as it may be different on your truck for some reason and a call to GM should get you the part model number of the sensors you should have as well as which MHz your sensors are. I know mine are the ones as per what I listed but there are other choices in the Autel and got me wondering if by some chance they put different ones in your truck. Having said that, did you try using each of the choices starting from No 1 and going on down the list, not sure if that would mean shutting off the engine each time and resetting the tool and going at it again each time. Also I thought of something else which may sound retarded but if there was some stupid chance that the chev choice would work. The reason I say that is that the Sierra is showing a range up to 06/2026 for the various choices of sensors it could be where as the Chev has one choice that has that 12/2026. By the way it is possible to not run the truck and you may know that as per not pressing the brake but pressing and holding the start button for a few seconds and it lights up the dash ( its called service mode ) but that sucks battery power and if it were me doing it that way I would be throwing on a decent sized battery charger before doing it that way as killing your battery won't make you happy at me at all !.    Like I say, just a thought to try the Chev choices if you have already exhausted the Sierra choices but first it would be nice to know for sure what exact sensor model and hertz your truck uses as I assume only those choices that mention the sensor would work unless a choice that does not mention the sensor model would somehow work. Its frustrating when one is trying to use tools like this without the experience of the tool and the vehicle, as I am sure dealer techs themselves struggle with it when starting out or a new model year comes along that is slightly different.
    • I tried before I updated the scan tool just incase an update messed it up, but it never worked so I updated the scan tool and it still didn't work.   Only difference is I click on Sierra not Chevrolet cause I have a Sierra.   If I click on 2026-2024 I didn't have any option to change placard, when I click on 2023 it does give me the option but when I try to do it,.it says vehicle not supported!   I have my region or market or whatever it is set to America I think, is that what yours is set to?
