Thank you. How about a photo, or two of those steps on your truck, never rested? Right now I'm contemplating taping off my stuff, and plasti dipping my grill black

Anyone have any experience with these color-matched grille surrounds? I'd rather buy one of these than paint my chrome surround black. But one of the reasons I bought a Z71 was because I loved the grille so much. I'm not getting rid of the Z71 grille inserts for black honey-comb.

Pretty sure its just the center piece, and doesn't include the pieces around the headlights. I'm waiting for plasti dip paint to dry on my grille as we speak/type!! Fingers crossed

I'm very interested in seeing the finished product. I've been contemplating doing the same thing to mine. Did you add glossifier over the black?

Oh boy, plumber, not painter. Few coats of plasti dip, then thought I would use a couple coats of paint for plastic to help bring a bit of shine before I use clear. Looks like sand, must be over spray in some areas, think I might be screwed!!

I think some of us should get together, have a truck tricking party, and help each other out... My patience with this project is wearing thin.

OK, from what I'm seeing this is going to be good from far, but far from good, well to my standards anyway. Hell, I'm out $30.00 and an afternoon. At least I'm taking one for the team, gonna drink a beer, pull the tape and order pre painted parts.. Lol

So you painted over plasti-dip? You still should be able to peel it off if it didn't come out right.

Yeah, think I'm gonna peal it off. Back to the drawing board. At least we got a peak of what it would look like black

I added the chrome tailgate handle and had the surround painted to match (silver), and I added the GM oem painted fender flares and mud guards.
