does anyone know what does the all terrain grill costs from the dealer?

I DO NOT believe in painting over the chrome and everyone told me you can't remove chrome from ABS plastic without messing it up....... I love it when people tell me something can't be done ;-)

The chrome is actually a true chrome plating... The ABS plastic is sprayed with a special paint that accepts the plating process. The trick is to get an edge started on the chrome plate and use a 2500psi'ish pressure washer to "separate" the plating from the plastic. The pressure washer will not damage the plastic and the plating is fairly easily seperated. From here it's a series of hand peeling and alternating separating with the pressure washer. Use gloves because the plating is thick and extremely sharp.

I called a local dealer in my area and gave them the part number for a white a/t grille and they quoted me ~$600. I ended up buying mine off ebay from a dealer in like NC or GA for $445 and free shipping.

I haven't plastidipped before, but from all of the videos I've watched you would be able to just peel the dip off of the sensors without having to tape them. Just have to do it slow.

Should I remove the plasti dip on the lower half or leave it white?

 

Btw, I have a work truck so it was all black when I started.
