I was just quoted $500 for both bumpers. Thats if I pull the bumpers off the truck and bring them to the shop, I wouldn't prep them at all. Just remove them and reinstall them

I would be completely fine with doing the leg work. $500 sounds pretty darn fair to me. Any tricks to removing the chrome plating without using a power washer?

Oh idk. The $500 included the shop doing all the prep work and paint. I'm still unsure if I want to colormatch mine. I more so just got a quote incase if I decided to do so.

What's a fair price to pay for color matching the front and rear bumpers, grille and headlight surround, fender flares and all emblems (these would be black). Currently I was speculating about $700 to 1000? Not sure I'm way off or right in the ball park.

I was charged $700 for

entire front bumper including plastic pieces

grille surround

rear bumper + tailgate handle

fender liners

window moldings and grille center gloss black

the job he did was GOOD, but when I first got it I kept seeing the new paint as being a tad darker, but everyone I ask says it looks spot on. i'm happy with the way it turned out. Now I'm dying to get my headlights done, they stick out so much now

Your truck looks great with the paint scheme you picked out. I'm basically doing the same thing just with tungsten metallic. It's great to hear that the number I want to pay and reality are fairly close.

Plasti-dip just released "Super Gloss", much better than the old "Glossifier". Should be great for inexpensive and easy color-matching.

Is that the ebay "Denali Style Grille"? Was thinking about getting one. If so, how was the fit and quality?

Yes it is the denali style grille off of eBay for around $180, the quality was good and the fitment perfect however there's like this plastic/rubber piece that goes behind our OEM grilles that did not fit onto this new grille. When i realized it my buddy and I were already into our second 12 pack and said "screw it, doesn't look that important" lol. Anyways, idk what that piece is for but it won't fit with it.

Based on hear say and reviews from other local car enthusiasts there is only one body shop in town to trust with painting parts. I went and visited them today on my lunch break and they quoted me $315 out the door to paint my new EGR Pocket Style fender flares. He said it was a little more expensive because I have a 3 step paint job (base, pearl, clear). First, how does this price sound to y'all? Second, is the Tungsten Metallic (Paint code GXG) really a three step paint job (he was going on what I told him since he hasn't work with the paint color enough to know off hand and I didn't have the truck with me)?

I was charged $200 when my local paint shop painted mine summit white. I had the bushwhacker bolt on look. I installed all bolts and installed them on the truck and then the body shop asked if I would bring it back in for them to put a layer of wax on them.

Sounds good to me, and yes I would think it sounds like a 3 step paint job just cause it's a Metallic paint. So base, then pearl, then clear, just like you said. It's like the White Diamond tricoat. My truck can sometimes look almost pure white but at others, it's obviously not cause of the way the sun reflects on the pearls

I ended up having my fender flares color match line-x'd. They will look black in pictures but they match the paint and look awesome! Pictures coming tonight once they're on.

Edit: No pictures tonight. I made a little mistake and didn't realize I needed to trim the inside of the fender flares to fit with no rubbing from my tires. So the flares are delayed a couple days whole they get trimmed and the trim coated in Line-X.

Quick pic of flares.
