I was told that I should have a shipping tracking number later today. Here is to hoping.

I was quoted $1400 installed for the plug and play AMP's at Chux Trux in Kansas City.

Just wondering....as I am considering a swap to the AMP powersteps.

The OEM running boards/side steps on the 14' (and likely other years) have 4-braces holding each step in place on either side which provides a solid foundation for both driver and any passengers.. The AMP power steps have 2 per side. From experienced owners/users, have you found the Powersteps to be as strong in terms of weight bearing as the OEM 4-brace styles?

As many, I like the look and the functionality of the Powerstep but find myself a bit concerned that they may not offer the strength of oem style.

I want them because they clean the look of the truck and one less thing to hang up when I'm driving across a pasture or road on our land, a coworker has them on his F-150 and they seem sturdy enough and he's not a small guy.

I love mine also, just keep up on the maintenance.

Do you mean the Power Steps? What maintenance is required?

I'm in the same boat as you as far as waiting for the harness module. I just called autoanything and spoke to Dasan at ext 7135 (Great guy btw) and he put in a special order for the harness for me since they dont carry it just yet. Price is better than i have seen as well at $115.50 out the door. Should be here in a week or two.

So I called and talked to Dasan and he quoted me $150, not sure why the price would be different???

I'm not sure. Maybe they went up in the price and I just got lucky (again lol)?

I just opened the box (it's been sealed since I haven't had time to install them) and I received a wiring harness labeled "plug and play conversion kit for 75154-01a". It has an odb2 port plug with it so I assume it's the right one.

I know when I purchased every other company had the harnesses listed at $150 so they may have slipped up and gave it to me cheaper than they should have and now they are pricing them in line with the other companies.

Edit:

Here are a couple pictures of what i received.

thanks for the pics, for a minute I was worried they may have accidentally sold you the multiport OBD2 cable instead of the actual plug and play kit. Now that I have the p/n I'll run some searches to find a better price since Dasan couldn't repeat on that price
