16GMCSS Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 (edited) So does this look like everything I will need or is there still a wire harness I need ? And anyone know of a better or cheaper place to order from ? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk Looks right to me. I ordered from gmpartsheadquarters.com as they had the best price I could find. Great customer service too! Edited May 18, 2016 by 16GMCSS
wmgrenon Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Hello, my first post. Just love the site since I bought my 2015 Silverado LT in December. I'll debut pics of her as soon as I'm done with current round of mods but a quick question on this. I just received all the console parts, but one thing I notice is there's no hardware that comes with it. Anyone know what I might need to pickup before I begin this process?
DCazares Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 You will need 2 m6x1 bolts to secure the front of the console to the dash. Everything else is reused when removed from the jump seat and front lighter pocket.
fairway605 Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 I found a way to get the USB ports at the front of the console to work(charge only) without disconnecting the ones inside the console. There is a brown USB connector on the front of the radio behind the screen. I modified cable P/N 19303285 to fit the socket on the console. I shaved off the corner of the black end to make it fit the socket on the console top USB port. I have this cable now but what about the six pin connector that goes in the usb socket do you leave this empty and it will work for charge only thanks.

I used a piece of the harness that came with the console and spliced into the one going to the in console port.

vettecowboy78 Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 No. If you read the first couple pages in the thread you will need to wire the hot and the ground pins to get them to work. User T-Barn does a nice write up with pics near the beginning of the thread Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
thrasher2010 Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 I have an extra wiring harness from the jumpseat of if anyone is interested in it! It's brand new never installed.. PM me if you are interested ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
wmgrenon Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 (edited) Guys, I'm about to try this mod but I need some clarification on something. If I just want the same plugs to work in the console interior as they do in the jumpseat and don't care about the front usbs and extra 12V, I just need to 1> swap out the new console harness with the jumpseat 2> and then connect the 110v and 12v from the old front to the new front. Am I correct? Will that allow for the rear cig lighter to work also? Edited May 20, 2016 by wmgrenon
nwfd1130 Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I know they added the wireless charger to the console for 2016. I just bought mine and wasn't even thinking about the console when I bought it, mine has the jump seat. Did they change part numbers for 2016 because of the wireless charger?
nwfd1130 Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 Looking at the gmpartsdirect website, it looks like this is the current update on part numbers. I am not for certain the console will come with the rear trim, so I added it in the part numbers. These are for the off road carbon trim. Center Console part numbers 23495258 UPPER TRIM PANEL Part Notes: UPPER TRIM, W/110 VOLT OUTLET, OFF ROAD CARBON 23425462 Part: CONSOLE ASSY Part Notes: CONSOLE ASSEMBLY, W/O DENALI, W/O REAR DVD, BLACK Manufacturer: GM Part Number: 22776807 Part: CONSOLE ASSY FRONT BRACKET Replaces: 23229487 Part Notes: CONSOLE ASSEMBLY 22817347 Part: SIDE TRIM, RIGHT 23467516 Part: SIDE TRIM, LEFT GM Part Number: 23449672 REAR TRIM Manufacturer: GM Part Number: 22816697 Part: TRIM PLATE 23450838 Part: ARMREST ASSY Part Notes: ARMREST, W/WIRELESS CHARGER, BLACK PARTS: Order by description. DCazares Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Any help? Yes everything you already have in your jump seat will work in the console if you re-use the harness. The rear 12v plug will have to be spliced into the harness as the jump seat does not have one. It is really easy to do, If you leave the console harness attached, track down the + and - that lead to the rear 12v and splice them to one of the existing wires for the 12v inside the console.
