Looks good to me and it doesn't peel, been through the car wash twice and still in perfect condition. Wicked Galaxy Note 3

I plasti Dipped my front bowtie, while a buddy bought one from Chevymall. Living in Pittsburgh with all the snow and road salt mine is still perfect, no peeling at all. His on the other hand has three chips in it and looks like shit. It wouldnt have been so bad if he didnt have to drill out his stock one to install the aftermarket one.

What is plastic dipped?

There is a site www.dipyourcar.com that shows what can be done with it or do a search on youtube for plastidip, plenty of videos. There is also a thread on here on page 3 of this section.

Can you do this on a 2014 sierra?? My emblem had 7 total tabs that where crazy hard to release from reaching in through the front of the grill. I'll also pass on taking a flathead to a week old $50k truck ;) I didn't want to remove the letters, I'm a little confused on what you meant about that. e5u7e5e7.jpg Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

All I done was with a flat top screwdriver was gently pry the logo off the grill. it just popped off .did not force it just slow easy pressure, worked my way around from top to sides to bottom, then when you look at the back there is a bunch of little holes with white plastic sticking out this is what keeps the letters attached,I then got a drill and drilled out the holes, (do not go to deep as to hit the back of the letters) the letters just fell out and off the chrome bracket .I than spray painted the letters black waited for them to dry put a small dap of PL400 adheisive where I drilled ,placed the letters back into there place, let dry for a couple hours, than snapped the gmc logo back onto the grill. My truck is only 3 weeks old and $55 plus.

Yes you can Plasti Dip you logo to look like that. You just tape off the grill, put a 3-5 light coats on. I used the glossifier on mine to get a better finish. After its dry it should just peel off the chrome.

Did you plasti-dip the "SILVERADO" as well?

If so, did you mask the letters off on the truck, or remove them and re-apply them?

I left the letters on the truck just left a 1/2" space between the letters and tape. Then just peel the dip off and it cuts off right where every letter starts. Make sure you let it dry enough after your last coat or you might peel part of a letter.

I actually already dipped mine, I was asking about the previous post on how to remove the emblem/letters. I found it very easy to dip it once I got everything taped off. I probably did more like 7 or 8 very light coats. I posted a couple pics on the previous page.

I found some antennas on Amazon but I'm not sure if they will fit good, where did you get yours?

I like the window tint. How many inches is the strip on the windshield? and does it effect your view??

    • It wouldn’t have happened if the government hadn’t mandated outrageous fuel mileage standards. It does very little for the consumer. It adds cost. Back during Covid there was a chip shortage. They gave a rebate for your truck if it didn’t have the chip to turn on cylinder deactivation. It was 50$ because at best you may see 1/2 a mile increase per gallon. Splitting hairs each fuel mileage trick wasn’t mandated. The government doesn’t do the engineering work and say use this until it’s already in use and they like it. The fuel mileage was mandated. And those add ons the results. There’s a mandate and they are the results.
    • It was never mandated.  Ever.    Automakers were incentivized to install it by getting CAFE credits to help with their vehicle fleet fuel economy scores.  They were being handed money/CAFE credits to install it.  Which is NOT a mandate.       The current admin removed the incentives that were behind them installing it.
    • Are you playing Slide Down endlessly but your score is still low? Are you constantly crashing into obstacles as the game speed increases? Don't worry, this article will share 5 invaluable tips to help you master the race and impress your friends. Golden Rules 1. Look one step further. The mistake of 90% of new players is only staring at their character. The secret of experts is to look towards the top of the screen (where the slide is about to appear). This gives your brain an extra 0.5 - 1 second to process the situation and determine the direction of movement before the obstacle approaches. 2. Use gentle movements; don't swipe too hard. Slide Down is very sensitive. Moving your finger too forcefully or with excessive amplitude will cause your character to be thrown off course or crash into a wall. Practise moving your finger with small, decisive, and precise movements. 3. Don't be greedy for gold in dangerous locations. Gold coins are tempting for buying skins, but life is more important. If you see a gold coin right on the edge of a cliff or next to a spike trap, ignore it. Our goal is a High Score, and your score only increases if you survive. 4. Make the most of Power-ups. During the slide, you'll encounter items like Magnets (attract gold) or Shields (temporary invincibility). Never miss them! Especially the Shield, it's your "get out of jail free card" to help you get through those deadly fast sections. 5. Stay calm when speed peaks. When your score exceeds 500 or 1000, the game speed will be very fast. At this point, don't try to think logically; let your natural reflexes work. Take deep breaths and don't panic. Apply these 5 tips to your next game, and your leaderboard will surely improve dramatically. Good luck climbing the Slide Down leaderboard!
