Thanks man! I'm extremely happy with the results.

On a side note. Does anyone know how exactly to remove the steering wheel trim? I'd really like to get the center piece off and the aluminum trim off to colormatch the trim and emblem.

You need to disassemble the steering wheel lol. I just covered it up and plasti dip it like that, when I did all my interior. a3d9d2f510786329f09c4ece1fb0db2d.jpg

I can't even get my fuse covers off. I won't pull any harder than I already have and they didn't come off.

Yes start at the bottom, I use a tool to help pull first. After the bottom clip is off the rest is easy. Use a screwdriver to pull it out so u can get a better hold of the piece.

How are you guys removing the mirror caps without breaking the clips. I have a new take offs to put on mine and the instructions say to grab the cover pull up and then put. I tried earlier today but felt like I was about to break the damn things. Anyone have luck using a trim removal tool to apply pressure on the bottom gap to get them to pop off?

Also, on a separate note what's the best method to remove the interior trim from the doors?

I had the 2nd oil change done. When I got home I swapped in my color matched handles and mirror caps. Tmw is the install of the light bar as long as the weather holds.

Be sure and snap some pics of the install, have to show off the sweet mounting hardware!

Yep. You first need to remove the airbag. After that, you pop out the audio buttons from the back of the upper spokes -- doing so reveals a torx bolt that secures the trim. I think there might be a few pop-in clips as well, but removing the bolt and some careful prying should ultimately remove it. I also believe you can remove the trim from the soft-touch control buttons, which could reduce how much masking/ prep work you need to do.

I wish there were better instructions/ illustrations/ something detailing how to remove the airbag on this generation of truck; in my mind, it's not as straightforward as what was used on the GMT900s...

Is that the transformer emblem on your steering wheel? How'd you get the stock one off?

Soooo... Installing a MAF sensor backwards tends to make your truck run like shit. Who knew!?

Haha

Looks like the stock emblem is just blacked out underneath.

Yes it is, and I didn't take it off. It was behind it. I don't have emblem on there anymore.

Today I installed my Add W1 catch can, I notice some slight collapsing on the hose near the crank case connector so I might upgrade it later. Also I stalled the chrome door moldings (thanks John_chadra1 for the seamless market place transaction) and mirror covers today. (Opposite of what most do with them haha.)

Got my light bar installed this afternoon. I used a set of colton_m's mounts and they are a piece of cake to install and fit perfectly. The light bar is a 30" curved from Totron and I used thier wireless adapter to make the install even easier.
