Here's mine which is the same, the bed access powdercoated ones. Love them and much better than my 3" tube Westons that I had on my 98.

What floor lights did you use. I want to do this modification as well. Did ya tie them in so they come on when you open the door??

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AEJZSZE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I used those for the footwells, i used some zip ties to make sure they stayed up. And yes i have them tapped into the door so when the door opens the footwell lights come on. If you need help wiring them i have a picture of the wire you need to tap into.

Has anyone tinted their windshield, not just the strip.... Curious to know what a good percent would be that wouldn't be too dark for night driving.

I tinted the windshield on my 2014 Jeep Wrangler guy used 50% I would not go any darker than that. You do have to turn down the driving interior lights other wise creates a glare. It is nice if in hot climate keeps the car 15 degrees cooler inside.

I have mine tinted with 45% film. So it brings it down to about 30-31%. It's great. Not hard at all during night driving whether in city or not. Also great for during the day because of reduced heat and glare.

Sadly in Texas we can't tint the windshield...

Note: Windows immediately to the right and left of the driver that have less than 25% light transmission will fail inspection, regardless of the year model of the vehicle.

A medical exemption is required, only if the citizen needs tint on the two front windows darker than the 25% requirement.

Windshield

Sunscreening devices can be applied to the windshield if all of the conditions below are met.

  1. Sunscreening devices must be applied above the AS-1 line. If there is no AS-1 line, sunscreening devices must end five inches below the top of the windshield.
  2. Sunscreening devices may not be red, amber, or blue in color.
  3. Sunscreening devices, when measured in combination with the original glass, must have a light transmittance value of 25% or more.
  4. Sunscreening devices, when measured in combination with the original glass, must have a luminous reflectance value of 25% or less.
  5. A clear (un-tinted) UV film is allowed anywhere on the front windshield without a medical exemption being required.

Mine windshield is tinted 30%. It's not legal in Oklahoma but idc it's safer. That's just me all of my vehicles have had it done.

Front two windows are matched to oem

But when I get back south getn stripped an done in 0% all the way around

You can see just fine out my windshield. In the pitch black of night way out of the city, with just lows on. I mean I'm young so it maybe a lil hard for someone older to see out but it helps with headlights being so bright at night plus if some dbag is rolling with his brights you never really notice an sunglasses during the day who needs em lol I don't. Plus it's private can only see a hand slightly on the wheel, standing at the bumper.

In NH we cannot even tint the front windows. We can drive that truck with no insuance and no seatbelts by law but we cannot tint the windows...Makes no sense...

Cleaned her up today and found so many damn scratches and paint chips it's unreal. The list is about a notebooks worth long. Not like I take this thing mudding or anything. Obviously GM paint is shit these days. Probably about 30+ chips and then so many scratches it's unreal. I'm sure the scratches will come out with some rubbing compound and wax, but goodness there are way too many paint chips. Knew I shoulda got the burgundy colored truck instead lol
