Added the basic tow mirrors this morning. I have to say it is a bigger pain in the rear to install these than it seems like it should be. Why stuff the wiring harness halfway down the door behind the door trim panels. Makes a quick easy task into much more work. But all went well in the end. I cheated and only took the panels partly off and wedged my hands behind to release the harness and pull the clips out.

Are the door panels tough to take off? Are these mirrors power close as well?

Finally got some time to wash, clay bar, seal and wax before winter.

Also new tires...K02 275/70/18

Yes...that's a door ding in the driver's door.

Well they can be a little difficult. There is the little cover piece down in the grab handle part that hides a bolt. I had trouble getting that out since I didn't have a correct tool for it. That hockey stick shaped shiny panel section in the center right below the grab handle snaps off with little metal clips. For some reason all my clips separated from the plastic panel piece and were difficult to get back on. One clip partially broke so the panel on one end does not hold as tight as before. I honestly stopped at that point. I did not want to risk breaking something just to remove the entire door panel. So I ended up just poping the top corner nearest the mirror out and then pulling back the trim around the window to give myself barely enough access to get my hand down inside the door to unclip the harness.

I just bought the basic tow mirrors so power adjust and heat, no power extend, fold, or blinkers. Same as what I originally had with the stock mirrors.

Added onto my tow mirror upgrade with a backup camera kit that is in the rearview mirror. Which I actually prefer, feels more natural while backing up since I'm already using my mirrors and I don't have to look down at the radio area. I've gotta say I really like these two upgrades I did. Money well spend in my book.

The camera install which beforehand seemed a little intimidating to me ended up going very smoothly. It took me a few hours as I really took my time taking the interior apart and getting it all hooked up. Very happy with how this project turned out.

Well, not sure if i posted it here or not but here it goes.

Got my Diablosport Trinity in last Tuesday. Updated it and threw it in the truck. First tuen went in great, truck ran like a scalded cat. Then i went to go mess with the mpg tune. Well, long story short, the tuner didn't reinstall the VIN to my PCM so i had to pop the PCM out and send it in along with the tuner.

Fast forward to today when i got it back. Popped the PCM in and started it. Runs good. Here comes my personal mistake, i tried to reinstall another tune into my truck. Bad idea. Now im right back to where i started. Will be overnighting it to them again tomorrow evening cause they are crap.

Clearly Diablosport can't figure shit out. Two times in one week. Whatever, ill just get my $500 back and go back to stock. The "tech" was getting upset with me cause i already went through the process that i went through with the last tech. Im a little pissed off considering my truck is just chilling in my driveway and its worthless right now

I bought the backup camera kit from www.cubbycam.com which seems like very good quality. It came with the tailgate handle with camera, which was prety simple to remove the access panel on the inside of the tailgate and swap out. It had a harness that ran from the back up to the underside the drivers side area which again was pretty straight forward I just followed the existing harness that ran along the outside of the drivers side frame using zip ties every 12 inches to hold it to the other harness. I had to pull up the carpet and drill a 1" hole in the floor on the drivers side for the harness to come up thru. This made me nervous but it had a rubber grommet and some sealant paste stuff to seal it up good. The replacement onstar mirror that has the camera image imbedded I swapped out and by removing the center overhead console which come out really easy, basically just pulls down and a couple screws. I then fished the new mirror harness above the headliner over to the drivers side pillar. I had to remove the visor, 3 screws, and the plastic pillar piece which come off easy too. Finished fishing that harness down the pillar and then down under the dash. The camera harness and the mirror harness connect under the drivers side dash. The last part, which again made me a little nervous was I had to splice (I used the t-tap connectors) into two existing wires of the truck that went into the BCM. In all it took me a few hours going slow and being careful.

Wow that sucks. I'm a little surprised. I've used the diablosport intune on my previous 2005 and now my 2014 and have had nothing but great luck. I really like it. I've swapped tunes back and forth, going from both stock to tune and tune to tune never any issues. So it crapped out going from stock trying to put on a tune? What did they say they think is causing this? Where is the PCM located to take out?

First time was from stock to canned tune, said it failed, so i reinstalled factory tune and went to go start truck and it wouldn't start. This time, it was directly from stock to a tune and it failed, same thing i guess you could say haha.

No, they didnt tell me whats wrong. Told me its "unusual" for a GM truck to do that. Sounds like it happens a lot across multiple platforms. Don't go onto their forum, saw about 3 threads same truck related to mine. Not gonna attempt it again. Just get my money back and use it toward something else.

The PCM is under the hood, driver side next to the spare battery tray. Took me 2 min to pop out. 3 harnesses hooked into it, only being held on with plastic retaining hooks, kinda surprised there weren't any bolts holding it down

That's a little scary. I'm just going to avoid reading those forums, lol. Do you know if its the trinity's with the more issues or the intunes also? I guess the bright side is they can bring your pcm back to life. Sucks you gotta go thru this though. I've settle on a tune setup so once my free oil changes are up I'll probably just leave it installed long term and not touch it for oh the next 7-8 years.
