Is it cat back?

My buddy got a exhaust done and the dealer voided his warranty for it. So I want to stay away from any of that (mostly because they fished me in for warranty for 6 years)

I'm personally no expert on exhausts by any means.

Yes its a cat back system. I highly doubt your dealer will void your warranty. I have had both my previous 2 trucks in for warranty work and Ive had exhaust and intakes and they didn't say anything other than damn sounds good man!

The warranty isn't black and white like that, the dealer can't just void it, unless your talking about one of those add on deals. But an exhaust has absolutely no negative effects if the cats are left intact. Its like switching from highway to mud tires, but keeping them the stock size as to not change any final drive ratios

That's true, but they can void the warranty for that particular part and the ones that correspond around it.

in Canada we seem to have no laws that protect us. We don't even have lemon law.

My Jeep Wrangler has been in the shop more times then I remember. right after it hit 20,000 miles. form 4x4 getting stuck on to the rad leaking.

I got blamed for the rad because I changed the factory grill lol. Then it started to make a funny sound when coasting (which was the differential being not put together properly from the first time) (3 more times after that) (Dana 44s suck) they said it was my cold air intake making the sound.

Then the vehicles abs, traction control, down hill assist all came on like lights on a Christmas tree, the vehicle sped up to about 15 mph and would not stop for about 5 seconds. The so called culprit was (This ones the best) my weather tech floor mats. Those silly mats.... in reality it was the whole computer miss reading.

Long story short I paid 50 grand to drive around in a base model Cherokee half the time.

I hate fiat.

I don't want this to happen again so I'm always trying to stick with parts that work with OEM

The exhaust rear of the cats doesn't affect any components around it. It only affects sound waves.

Canada doesn't sound like a very pleasant place to live. Sounds very communist

Where did you get those lugs? Both places I stopped at said their lugs wont fit on OEM wheels. I am looking at some replicas and they said the 60 degree M14 lugs will not work

The wheel and tire shop that got me the wheels. I don't have any details on the lugs though.

Those are sharp. One of my favorite! Nice touch.

Thanks man! I actually got these through Amazon. I wasn't really looking for them at the time, but I guess that's how they get you. :ughdance:

You're right, it's more of dealerships being insanely cheap and don't really seem to care about keeping a customer.

Did you read the comments lol

1. Just put it in a bag of rice, it will be fine

2. What bait do you use to catch a chevy?

3. AutoTRADER ad. All around clean truck.... little water damage

    • Because that is IDIOTIC, much like this question. They've already been forced to do it by past administrations - why would you roll that back when it's a GOOD thing?  WHO IS ARGUING FOR LOWER MILEAGE???? 😂  NOBODY IS!!   I'm certainly not! What I want is RELIABLE vehicles again that are worth the price paid!    I don't get your logic here ...   In 2003 I paid $2,200 for our '86 Grand Marquis. It's STILL running and I've never been inside the engine, aside for the timing cover since it was leaking, so I threw a new timing set in since that makes sense. Transmission is ORIGINAL. Electric pump in the gas tank is ORIGINAL. Rear end is ORIGINAL. I'd have to hit my head REAL hard to want to pay $60k or more for a car that still can't come close to the comfort, seating and storage space, or reliability of this one. Nothing is even in the ball park! Hundreds of thousands of brands and models have been built and sent to the crusher while this one keeps on going!   https://postimg.cc/Z9XRrCSg   I've got a whole fleet of cars, motorcycles, and a truck close to this age for summer and winter. No one could pay me enough to buy anything built this century. I have zero use for any it.
    • Since I'm the one who has to fix them when they break, I'll take vehicles over 30 years old all day, EVERY day, over ANY modern crap. Have you attempted any repairs on anything built after 2006? It's a friggin nightmare, and gets worse the newer the model year.    If I had the will or desire, I can make any car of any age outside of a Model T (I don't have THAT much will ...) just as powerful, comfortable, and have all the tech the new stuff does, and get pretty close in mileage, too. I prefer SIMPLICITY. The less the vehicle has, the less to fix WHEN it breaks, not IF.   I'm glad you snot-nosed punks don't like them. More for us, plus that keeps the prices from climbing more than they already have.👍
    • Bringing this thread back on topic. I just noticed the incredible lack of bright chrome across the entire new lineup. Even the Denali has tinted the brightwork in the grille and has none elsewhere. None of them have chrome bumpers. As far as I can tell there aren't even chrome mirror caps. I'm curious if this also happens out back? Are there no chrome rear bumpers either? This is quite the departure for GMC.
