Interested to see how this turns out as speaker upgrades are on my list of to-dos. Are you just replacing stock or doing amp(s)/dsp/subs also?

Didn't get a chance to do the install over the weekend. going to hopefully squeeze it in during the evening this week. I have the kicker setup installed with the additional dsp for the door speakers. I am hoping to just install the speakers in the door and dash for improved sound. I have a decibel meter i will be using to determine loudness before and after the speaker swap.

So it's a video of you videoing a video of your truck that you videoed. [emoji15]

But as for the head unit mod, very nice [emoji106] looks clean

It's essentially truck inception!

Haven't torn into it yet. I've sourced a set of Hyluxtek ballasts in town here so I'm gonna run those, as well I'll change out the relays and reground the wiring harness.

I'm chocking it up to bad luck with the Morimotos

Bad luck of the draw I guess, but the setup will be excellent when done. Gives me plenty of ideas. [emoji1]

I plastidipped my factory 18's charcoal grey, but they're not on the truck yet. I think I'll aslo dip the bowties to match.

Here is is, I did end up doing the bowties and I'm glad I did. The blue really brings out the bluish in the grey but overall I think it looks sweet.

None taken! I've always been a two door, short box kind of guy. It's the 6'-6" bed, what they call "standard".

I think the rake is really pronounced at this configuration, does it bother you?

Yes actually, it's been on my list but I'm pretty cautious of doing anything to the suspension. I'm thinking about drop shackles on the back as it seems fairly noninvasive, but then I keep reading about vibrations and driveline angles.
