Did this a couple days ago, but wanted to share. I posted up a rundown but I put it in the wrong forum using Tapatalk.

 

Anyway for the headrests DVD players from Walt at ADC Mobile and they work awesome. I added a Chromecast as well(these have HDMI support) and that is a nice feature!

Headphones are 1 option, I hardwired it to play through the speakers as well. It also will play through an FM modulator

I cut it off the A pillar with wire snippers!

Washed mine and the wife's trucks. I got hers finished and dried off, the rain started as I was getting finished with mine. No prob, it had way too much tire wet from the dealer wash job.

Driver handle - What are you guys cutting ?? is there a air bag behind the "A" pilliar ??? and are the nuts there for the handle screws . BEST place to order from .

Changed out my chrome LT grill for the Z71 grill.

Replaced the gold insert with a chrome one. Really like the look. Haven't done anything about the rear emblem yet but I'm considering just removing/"shaving" it instead of going chrome with that one as well.

I ordered mine from Amazon. As for the little plastic strap, I don't know what it's purpose is, but it tabs into the existing A pillar trim but no play to attach it to handle pillar. As not to risk rattling I just clipped it off.

I believe the tether is there to keep the pillar trim from becoming a large projectile in the event of an air bag deployment,Air bags have a lot of power I hate the thought of that thing hitting you or someone you love.

I didn't see a possible attachment point on the new handle trim to use that, if it were there I would likely have done so.

I believe for the ones without the handle the plastic tether is indeed there to hold it incase the airbag deploys. For the ones with the handle its not needed since the two bolts hold it in place.
