Where there's a will, there's a way

If you buy the black bowtie insert, I'd just get that color matched at a shop (or try it yourself) if that's what you're looking for. You could try painting over the gold but it'll have that texture to it and may look a little odd. Looking forward to pics of your HC grille!

I bought a billet grille emblem and had it powder coated "tractor red" and it's nearly a perfect match to my Victory Red truck. I don't know if powder coating shops all use the same stuff but if you can find something as close as I did, I think you'll be happy about the match if they have a lot of colors to choose from. Just a thought.

Thanks Tom. Your mod is what I am interested in doing. I was hoping to get a color matched bowtie but this is a good option that I'll look into.

Just an FYI, your truck is the reason I wanted the HC grille. I googled pics of it since I knew I wouldn't be able to buy a High Country a few months before I even bought the truck. The #1 thing I wanted to change was the industrial style grille and loved the factory-yet-billet look of the HC. I also think it looks better on non-HC than it does with the color-matched bumpers that the HC has. Goes well with the chrome bumper IMO.

Where are y'all finding these high country grills? I found one on eBay for $420.

I found mine on eBay for $378 but they were running a sale and went up very shortly after I bought it. Then I sold my LTZ grille to make up some of the cost (which was a big fail due to much higher-than-expected shipping costs, but that's another story).

Got mine from Rydell Surplus for 330ish shipped. Think I saw Chuck get his in classifieds.

Yup...Wifey's car...she busted a stock rim some time ago, so I just had to replace them with American Racing wheels and Yokohama skins.

I got mine from a forum member in the For Sale section. Last time I looked, there was another one on there for sale.

just installed some foot well lights in mine. I used the Type S led strips from auto zone. I can change the color and pattern of each led strip individually from my iphone via bluetooth.

Today I installed a Truxedo tonneaumate toolbox. I have liked my Lo Pro QT since installing it and this toolbox fits perfect. Also installation was a breeze.

Only change I would make is to have the rails the toolbox hangs on be the full length of the truck box. So I could set the box in the back of the truck and when needing to haul something larger I could slide it to the front.

I'm gonna do some looking to see if this is an option.

I have taken my Lo Pro though several carwash's (usually the soft touch type) and washed it by hand. The truck box has stayed dry through all of them. I recently went through the car wash and had several blankets in the box they all stayed dry, with the pace edwards i had on my S10 they would have all been as wet as if the cover had been open. So needless to say I am extremely happy with the Lo Pro

I wasn't expecting the tonneaumate to be as big as it is. A guy can fit a lot of gear in it.. Also it can be locked too!!
