Got jumped off. For some reason it decided the battery was low and wouldn't start... only been setting for about 20 min from the last drive...

How many miles are on it? Mine was the same at 32K. Battery was so dead it barely even gave a reading at Pepboys

Got 19k on it.. when not cranking it'll read 12v. Once you turn the key it goes to 7v or less. I charged it last night to see if I can make it through the weekend. Then off to ye ol dealer. Service manager claims it's covered

Took the truck to the dealer and they didn't have a battery for my truck in stock? WTF, seriously? OO well they gave me a loaner to drive and they happened to have 2 6.2L trucks...

Kinda thinking about switching to a 16? What y'all think?

Mine went dead about a month ago with ~66k. Still seems premature @ 2 years old...but there is a lot of electronics hooked up to these batteries. More of a pain to change too than any other vehicle I've ever seen.

I agree on the change being a PITA. 36K Or 3 years is supposed to be the norm to change batteries tho right?

Either way, mine have (2) 10" subs beating on it constantly. Also plenty of lights that don't always get turned off so my battery sees a lot of action.

Hoping my batteries from now on follow the same pattern. With any luck, I'll be getting a new battery for free every 2 years at pepboys:) lol. Got the 3 year renewing warranty.

I always thought it was 5 years, but as he said, maybe with cars having more electronics that the batteries just don't last as long anymore. At least not on the newer vehicles within the past 5 years. I can tell the battery will be more of a pain to change than my previous trucks, but can't be as bad as some cars. I know my mom used to have a '98 Dodge Stratus and you had to take the inner fender well out to change it. She's had an '06 Impala for awhile now and that's not too bad. You just have to move a support bar like theses new trucks and maneuver and twist the battery out.

I've always had good luck with Duralast batteries from Autozone. I was told that the Duralast Platinum battery is almost like a hybrid between a regular battery and an Optima so it's inbetween a normal battery and Optima. I'm brand loyal so I hate to even try another brand other than Duralast and of course everybody knows that Optima is great even though I haven't used one before.

See I don't have anything like that and I never drained it once.. It just decided to die. I think the dealer wanted me to come back so I would look at there 16s..It worked, I am seriously thinking of getting another truck and leaving this one....
