So we're posers because we like the 22's? Get a grip pal. Not all of us want to go mud bogging, rock climbing, or haul 2000 pounds. If that's you're thing then that's awesome but don't act like those of us who don't are somehow below you...

People who say "ride is compromised with 22's and that 22's don't have any side wall" must be either OLD and fragile, or uneducated. It seriously drives me nuts, if you were blind folded and told to drive different trucks one with 20's and one with 22's the average person wouldn't be able to tell the difference!! Have you ever seen the factory tires on a BMW?!! Older 3 Series BMW's with the 20" option came with 245/30/20 and 295/25/20.....

Bigger wheels will make the ride worse, you can't deny physics. I'm not even crazy about 20s due to the lack of sidewall and good A/T tire choices. Roads in the north are rough as hell and I don't want to worry about trashing the rim on a pothole or by curbing it if I goober up parallel parking. 18s are really about as big as I'd want to go on a pickup. And those BMWs will ride like crap on rough roads at best. At worst you'd ruin a rim unless you're super cautious.

And I guess I should add that I don't dislike *some* of the bigger wheels. BringTheRain's truck looks damn good, it just wouldn't last a week on the crap roads we have.

I literally can't tell the difference between the truck with the 20's I drove before I ordered mine and the ride with the 22's on mine. It's literally the best riding vehicle I've ever owned...

The difference is that BMWs are not pickup trucks designed to carry loads and tow. The low profile tires are there for maximum handling capability. A 22" wheel on a pickup truck with an off road package is not a good choice unless you never take it off road. Nissan would not even install standard 18" wheels on their Titan pickups equipped with the off road package to give the tires maximum sidewall height. They installed 17" wheels on off road suspension equipped trucks and quite appropriately. GM seems to be catering to posers who prefer looks over function.

and how many nissan trucks do you see on the road???? Lol and Posers? I bought a truck because I like trucks. I have no need for towing capacity or knowing the square footage of shit I can carefully carry in the back of the truck. I bought one because I like trucks simple as that. I wasn't discussing purpose of the truck. I was saying that a OEM 20" set compared to a 22" set will most likely not make any noticeable difference. Oh and not to mention typically when you do get a 22" set from the factory, they typically have better tires than what comes standard on the 20" wheels to begin with.

As opposed to the posers who think they're hard core off-roaders?

Posers? Now that's a derogatory tem for sure. Am I a "poser" because my needs and uses for my truck are different than yours? Maybe I don't want to be just like you.

I rarely if ever go off road. I occasionally haul a few motorcycle parts I would have rather had a standard cab for looks and maneuverability, but I needed a backseat for my grandkids. I don't want my truck lifted or even leveled because I can get in and out just fine without a step hanging off the side. I have 4 wheel drive because I live where it snows in the winter. I won't change the exhaust because I know I won't gain much if any performance, and I enjoy the quietness of this truck. My truck has 20" wheels and rides like a nice car.

Now if you want your truck to be all jacked up to where you need to carry a step ladder to get into it, run tires that howl on the highway, and have a loud exhaust so every one knows you're in the neighborhood cool. but really now, who seems to be "posing" for attention

Well, it so happens that I do not own a jacked up truck and do not feel any need to attract anybody's atention. I was not refering to anybody here in my general remark about GM catering to posers. It is a general trend these days, manufacturers are installing ridiculously large wheels on cars, SUVs and trucks alike while trying to boost the EPA mileage figures at the same time, which is counterproductive, as large wheels require more energy to turn. I saw 18" factory installed wheels on a 4 cylinder Chevy Cruze and 20" wheels on a Ford Taurus and Explorer, which I consider ridiculous.

It is a fact that low sidewall height makes expensive rims very vulnerable to pot holes and other road hazards and they are easily damaged. I could not care less what size wheels anybody buys and uses on their trucks. It is a free country and it is your truck (or bank's until it is paid off). No need to take it personally.

As for large wheels, my deuce and half has only 20" OEM wheels but the tires (9.00-20s) have 10 inch tall sidewalls which give each wheel 40" total height. That's a bit more suitable for off road operation than a 32 inch wheel with a 4" tall tire sidewall, don't you think?

Does anyone know where you can order the factory 20's for a good price? I see the 22's and their prices but I looking for 20's and can't same to find the part numbers anywhere

The thing is that not one person here has mentioned wanting to do major offroading with their vehicles that have the 22's installed yet you seem to be continually mentioning that they aren't suitable for offroad use. I have the 22's. I love them. I'll probably never do anything more then drive though my family's pasture with my truck. They are more than suitable for running over the occasional pile of horse shit. If I was going for off road capabilities I would get some cheap ass rims with some knobby tires and have at it. However, that's not what I use my truck for. I personally think little rims look stupid unless they are accompanied by the big ass tires previously mentioned.
