I doubt you'll be happy with those. The only places I would use these is where they would be hidden and you only see the light

Here is a project I did where we used those led strips, skip to 4:12

Yea I had thought that and and still think so...but for $24 and no shipping - figured I'd at least look at them and see if i cant find a spot. And if I cant, I could always use them for something else and not use the switchback - Similar Nitro's step lights or even try on my other vehicle.

And thanks for providing real world images of them.

If I can find pictures of them on I'll post a couple for you but not sure if I still do. I'll warn you now that the wiring is also very thin. I'm sure you will definitely fine some sort of use for them but I wouldn't recommend them for the front of your truck

So I started a little DIY project on my own design for LED DRLs for the Silverado. Thus far I have $10 into the project, but will have to invest another $10 as I broke the LEDs I was using experimenting. Before breaking them they were plenty bright and matched my 5000K DDM Tuning HIDs very well. The double row of flexible LEDs fit perfectly in the space. To make them not so noticable I used LaminX vinyl tint, which worked perfectly and still allows maximum light output. Here are some pics of install (not working of course). Once I re-order LEDs and have everything buttoned up I'll be sure to post pics:

With the tint from a distance you can barely even see they are there

I hope you didn't way over pay for that T-Rex one from the other thread. Their prices are ridiculous...

So I been emailing back and forth with realtruck.com about the g3 lights and how they don't look nothing like putco advertise. So i sent them pictures of how they actually look and how they SUPPOSE to look. They agree that that's not acceptable and they want to keep their customers satisfied. They contacted Putco and showed them the pictures and according to Putco they are developing another g3 that will look like the advertised picture. I will be returning the installed g3 to realtruck.com and they will send me the new set ones they get their hands on them.

I ordered my g3's last week and aren't supposed to ship from putco until approximately the 23rd of may I think it was, do you think this will be the new version? I take it they quit selling the other versions and won't release any until the new ones come out?

Well the LEDs I ordered didn't fit between the headlights (were about 1/8" too wide) so I decided to make use of them elsewhere. They were the perfect length to fit just above the center part of the bumper so I gave it a shot, turned out pretty good and looks great going down the road...
