Not sure, but FYI that's about 20x the rating of that outlet. That outlet is rated for, say charging my wireless toothbrush. Just mine, not mine and the wife's simultaneously.

I tried to run a heat gun off it and it ran, for about one second. Glad this came up else I would have forgotten about it completely, and thanks for the fuse info.

I thought it had a auto reset fuse I was running a drop light and it would kick off and then come back on by itself?

This is really annoying me, the F150s can run a damn large screen TV and our can barely run a cord for a a rechargeable E-cig. I wonder if there's a way to increase the capacity.

Not quite. The Ford has a 150W outlet.

that outlet isn't meant for a very much of anything, mostly charging electronics like a phone, tablet/ipad, or laptop.

My 2013 Toyota 4 Runner 400 watts, It might be possible to increase electrical load, would have to change inverter, possibly wiring and fuse. Much cheaper to buy plug in inverter.

I've only used mine once to charge my laptop.. what is the rating on it again?

100W I think. Beyond the usual tonneau, bars, etc, I think this will be my first mod. I've never heard, anyone actually found the inverter? I'll be swapping it out w/ a 400+ asap. If I'm gonna have it, it might as well be useable.

Wow, so basically it's there for looks (Meaning, it's there for people to say, look a house jack and purchase only to find it's near useless..) I too would like to see how you can upgrade it to a 400 or more..

Almost no vehicle in current production has a high wattage outlet. They're designed to run laptops and similar devices. The wiring won't handle higher wattage, I'm almost sure of that so unless you plan on re-wiring it with your own inverter it is what it is.

Agreed, the wiring is quite small going to that plug.

But there is more than enough room in the engine bay and behind that plug to mount and wire a whole new inverter, I think... Plus the multiple points on the + side of the battery would make for a clean install, (I assume all these trucks have same battery and all). A USABLE outlet would be a nice thing to have I bet. Would be awesome if I could run a little welder off it, but, don't see that happening.
