Post your 2014+ wheel/tire set-up

Did all of your mods help at all with mpg?

Also if you test fit any 305s on those 17s I would be interested to see how they fit as i've been eye balling some 17" methods and 305s would be awesome.

Tune definitely helped with MPG.

I plan to go to 305/65/17 Cooper STT Pro, I'm just trying to talk myself into it sooner rather than later. My 285/70/17 Cooper ATPs are less than a year old and only have about 10k miles on them.

I can probablythrown them on Craigslist and get $400 for them, since they are about $800 new.

I am running those same wheels in a 20x10 -24 with a 33x12.50. There is a slight rub at full lock in reverse. Other than that, no issues at all. Even when I hit the trails a couple of weeks ago during camping, no issues at all. I will probably zip tie the liners back so there is zero rub.

Do you have a head on view? Any rubbing? I'm considering those wheels or some 18x9 method standards in +18 with my current 275/70r18 ko2's. Nice looking truck by the way Edited by Juan_ID

Thanks, I currently have some xd machete's in what I think may be -12 and don't care for the amount of gravel and rocks they throw up and how dirty the truck gets. Are your tires flush with the fender?

I did that same thing with my last set of tires to get the ones I have now... they were WAY more worn than yours though and I still got $100 bucks out of them.

I think it would be awesome to be able to run 305/70/17s... but i think that's just wishful thinking since I only have a 2" level.

I really wish I could get another inch or so of height without having to go to a full lift kit... and I'd prefer to not do a body lift.

Yeah, that's a 34" tire, would probably rub. I want more width, reason for the 305/65.

If you want more height, you could do 295/70 and be at 33.5 and probably not rub.

My 34" by 11" 275/65-20 fit without rubbing.

any info on fitment of a 17x9 -12 offset wheel and one of the following sizes 285/70r17, 305/65r17, 33x12.50r17

truck is a 2015 gmc 1500 4x4 2.5" Rc level and 2" block in back with front airdamn plastic piece removed

I use my truck around all the rice fields in mud snow whatever you can think I do minus Baja!

lots of hunting and offroad driving in other words

don't mind some trimming but don't know which would fit best on the wheel 1 and on the truck 2

Yeah i'm thinking it would.

I'm honestly thinking of just going with 285/70/17s. They're a little shorter than what I have now, but wider.

They don't throw off the gearing quite as much either.

Since I don't have a tune yet, I probably would be better off with the 285s anyways.

Does anyone know what the dealership will correct your speedo to? Will they only do stock sizes?

I had a service guy tell me once that I can go as wide as i want, but no taller. Idk if he meant I can't change the aspect ratio, or if I can just get some stupid looking wide tires in stock height lol.

All three of those sizes on a -12 offset are right on the border where some guys will tell you they don't rub and others will say the do. My experience with 2-1/2" level and 285 65 18 which almost identical to the 285 70 17 you're looking at is on a -6 offset they never rubbed under any driving condition -12 rubs slightly at full lock in reverse when the suspension would compress. The 305 will most likely rub the liner but probably fixed by zip tying the liner back. The 33x12.50 is where you start getting to the point of cutting out sheet metal to clear. A lot of people say they clear on 0 offset or positive offset up to about +18 but I don't have any personal experience with 33 x 12.50 yet. I plan on running them once they come out in the Ridge grappler. For reference the 33 12.50 in a 17 is equivalent to a 315 65 17. The other question is how far do you want the tire to stick out and what type of tire do you plan on running AT, MT or hybrid? a 285 AT is typically narrower than a 285 MT Check a 285 65r18 nitto trail grappler 32.8"x11.93" versus a 285 65r18 terra grappler G2 32.56"X11.5". The same is true for the 285 70 17 trail grappler versus the terra grappler. The trails are about 3/8-1/2" larger both directions. Based on what you said the truck will see terrain wise, I'd look at the ridge grapplers, Cooper st maxx or Toyo RT. Just my 2 cents though.
