snapring6r Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Hey guys, new to the forum, but have read a lot. Got a 2014 Silverado and getting ready to install a RC 2.5" level kit. Right now it has the stock alum 18" wheels, considering XD strike 20x9 with a +18 offset and 285/60/20 tires, but don't want them outside the fenders and no trimming or rubbing. Do any of you all have any experience with this setup? Any other suggestions? Thanks
akrails Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Figured I'd add a few pictures to the thread as well. 2014 Silverado 1500 with a set of 24" KMC slides.
5RWill Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 I'm thinking the hostage in Anthracite would look good on the iridium I think so as well, though i just would rather have this design. Unfortunately method doesn't have an anthracite coating yet. Though their matte black looks grey depending on the lighting. I'll think i'll be fine with black though might have them powder coated anthracite. I feel like anthracite or a darker shaded silver that doesn't have such a metallic sheen to it like the stock chrome wheels goes well with Iridium. 2
baggedlvintegra Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 New wheels on prior to the full lift going on..3" level 22x12 33x12.50 rubs like crazy! Just have to tough it out a day before the lift goes on

Really thought about buying them too. I think so as well, though i just would rather have this design. Unfortunately method doesn't have an anthracite coating yet. Are those 18"s on 33" tires?

That should look sick on Iridium.
5RWill Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 (edited) Such a good looking truck. Are those 18"s on 33" tires? 17s on 35s. 4.5" spindle lift IIRC. I'll have to dig up the link to the specs on that truck. Edited April 22, 2015 by 5RWill 1
5RWill Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Starting to think these rims will match Iridium Metallic. Depending on what kind of light your in, they look anywhere from black to sterling gray/anthracite. 1

Spike17 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Thanks for reply. Those Duratracs look good. I may consider those. Another question guys. I'd appreciate any input. There's a guy on GMFS running 295/70r17 on a 2014 with a 2" level but he didn't state whether he had any rubbing issues. If I were to run a 295/70r17 tire on a 17x8.5, 0mm wheel, does anyone know if I'd have rubbing issues? I believe those wheels would stick out just about 1" more than my stock 18x8.5 z71 wheels with +24mm offset (or am I wrong?).
Spike17 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 (edited) I'm running 17x8.5 +15 offset american outlaw rims and 295 70 17 nitto trail grapplers. Rc 2.5 level kit with the rear blocks that came in the kit. No rubbing. Flush with the fender. Edited April 22, 2015 by Spike17 1

SoonerDPT Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Huge help, thanks a lot. Have a call into my dealer to see if this can be done. Makes the difference between being maxing out at a 305/50/20 and getting to put on the 295/55R20's that I want. I've missed it if you posted anywhere. Were you able to make this work?
seanc Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 2.5 Rough Country kit with rear blocks. Stock AT wheels with Toyo Open Country M/T 275/65/20=34.5x11. Slight rub on front wall but no trimming required IMO. Hey I noticed your post and I am wanting to put the 275 65 20 toyo mts on my stock ltz rims with the same leveling kit u got? How has it worked out for you. I love the look of your truck
