No adverse issues with our 2014 double cab 4x4. Just 2000 babied miles so far. There are 2 recall items that I have appointment for tomorrow.

Love my 2014 Silverado LT CC Z71 built in Mexico Jan 2014. No problems so far but I only have 1600 miles on it. Smooth quiet ride, great handling. All the creature comforts I need plus some. The only thing I would find that needs improving would be seat comfort.

Just look at the frame before you buy, I wish I had. Every weld joint is rusted, big places with rust just flaking off. It's a build date Of 12-2013 which is a bad year for rust I'm now seeing. It is a Fort Wayne Z71 double cab. And GM is completely ignoring my emails that include lots of pics.

I sent a PM to one from here yesterday but they are not answering either, not sure if it's time to involve an Attorney yet or not. I got another meeting with the dealer later this evening.

I am sure they will get you fixed up. Adhesion on the edges are the worst in general & cannot imagine any issues as long as it is recoated before winter.

That said, finally found a picture from March 2013. There was a Ford dealer across from the Chevy dealer one Sunday & was driving through.

This was a new sticker in the window Ford F150. Leaf springs had some rust too around the hangers.

Well I will put it this way, mine has been at the dealership since last Friday, they can't figure out why there is a loss of power and something in the front (bearings, brakes, ABS, stabiltrack) is dragging. The front hubs get extremely hot sometimes and when it happens I experience loss of power and shitty shifting.

I would rather not be a complainer, but damn..... I have had so many problems that now my wife keeps telling me to trade it in because it's all I talk about. I think they built mine on a Friday at Beer-Dark-Thirty.

I know that on this forum the ratio of people who love their truck vs those who don't is overwhelmingly in the favor of the love their truck.

The 2014 CrewCab 2WT loaner they gave me has a build date of 4/14 and has none of the issues that mine has, it is a little rougher ride than mine due to the tire/rim combination but overall it's a much better truck than my 2014 CrewCab LTZ Z71. It shifts perfect and has no delayed throttle response. The undercoat looks perfect, etc, etc, etc

So I can see why a lot of people love it, hell when mine is running good I love it too but those days are few and far between. If you buy one take a long test drive or keep it over the weekend.

I feel for ya'. Mine has been at the dealer since Monday for the seat, rust, radio and hell I forgot what else. Ive already traded one 2014 for another. Starting to feel abandoned by GM. Its funny how the GM reps on here will break their neck to answer your first post, but then........CRICKETS....Nothing gets resolved. Okay rant over. I think Im going to bolt up some MUD TIRES and head up to Ferguson Missouri.
