Unwanted Transfer Case Shift to Neutral Recall

I use the parking brake all the time too,but it's the ability for the truck to shift to neutral at any given time. It doesn't have to be sitting still. Could happen at the most inopportune time. I've got a bunch of "neutral free" miles too (over 6,000),but there is a flaw that needs addressed.

I punched in my VIN, and my truck is on the recall.

They also still have the transmission cooling lines on there too. My dealer must not have notified GM yet? I had it taken care of almost 3 months ago. I received te recall letter for the lines earlier this month, called the dealer to make sure they reported it to GM.

I guess I need to give them another call for this now. Good thing I don't have to park on any hills.

The thing about all these programs is, after the last one my mileage sucked for quite a while.

I'm not digging all this technology and updates. What if our truck gets a bug, and really flips out? Then what??? Are we going to hear those famous words, "that's normal"?

If it gets a bug, could we call geek squad to come out and fix it? Or even run an anti virus software? [emoji23]

Man, I hope my late ordered 2014 comes in with all these recalls etc. sorted out. I was hoping to order a 2015, but sales guy talked me into a 2014 due to there will be no incentives/rebates on the 2015's unitl first of 2015. Probably a sales line, oh well, we'll see..

Just updated mine. 4whl low works. No noticable differences

If your truck is tuned will this update discover/overwrite the tune?

No

Yours is fixed already? I thought the solution to the problem had not been determined yet.

So the truck is in park and turned off it will go into neutral? I had an 04 Z71 that would go into 4wd low sometimes when you start it up. That turn out to be the buttons. Once going it would behave.

Had mine done today at my local Daytona Beach dealer... it was the first one they did! Everything seems to work fine.

What did they update? The transmission control module? Does anyone know if the transfer case has it's own module or does it run thru the transmission module?

My build date is 4/14/14 and it shows mine needs this recall done also.
