I've only had it happen about 3-4 times in about 9k miles twice in the last two weeks tho. I did just recently add a catback exhaust. I wonder if this would make a difference?

It happens between 1st and 2nd. Not really going fast or anything, once I was in a parking lot and the other time I was just pulling out of work. The its like the trans slips for a second or two. the RPM's go up about 1000 or so then when it catches it goes back to normal.

I have noticed the exact same thing, with stock exhaust. Started to notice with about 8500 miles and seems to do this about once a week. I am going to try to explain to my dealer tomorrow what is happening, but I do not expect to get anywhere with them. Is there a TSB out there to refer to? My concern is the problem will continue to get worse.

Someone posted this in another thread. I dont have any bumping or clunking or shuddering. Just the slight slip. Once in a while between 1 and 2.

If you really want to hear and feel it bang, take off kind of easy and just when it is going to shift, let off the gas and then hit it easy again. It feels like it is going to shake the whole rear end loose. If I hold the pedal partially down from when I start moving till all gears are shifted, it is smooth as silk.

that's exactly what mine does.. very intermittent. All I have to do is left off the gas right before shift. Around 25mph is the worst.

My old truck did this as well. It sounds rather normal when you think about it. You push the gas pedal to accelerate, then the truck is shifting into second gear based on your increasing speed and constant throttle and right before it shifts you reduce the throttle dramatically by taking your foot off the gas so there's no power going to the transmission right when power is needed for 2nd gear to drive forward after being engaged. Think of a manual car.......it's like shifting to second gear but not giving it gas...the car will stall out or jerk/jolt forward until you give it some gas again.

As for the neutral thing, going in tomorrow to get it taken care of. When I called to ask if they can do an oil change also, he told me there was another recall dealing with the instrument gauges.

So I've been waiting for 14 weeks now for my truck and GM had no idea when I could expect it to be delivered.

Well I finally have a reason as to why! They won't deliver it to the dealer due to this recall. Even though the dealer can resolve the recall in 15 minutes. This is some sh*t.

They still have no idea when they might deign to deliver it.

Is it already built? If not, then I would check on the lots nearby again and see if you can find what you want. That's what I did. Dealer I was working with had found one 2 hours away but didn't tell me because the other dealer didn't want to do a trade. When I found out I got aggrevated with my most local dealer and went and got the truck 2 hours away. Had everything I wanted + 2 options I didn't need (trailer brake controller and one other thing. Can't remember what it is though)

It's built. There were none with the options I wanted so I ordered it.

5 April 2014 - Order placed.

9 May 2014 - Available to ship from Mexico

5 June 2014 - Arrived in Florida port.

And it's been sitting there ever since. Because GM won't release it due to this recall even though the dealership can execute the update in 15 minutes.

Has anyone else noticed it shifting hard/irregular after the recall was done? I thinking of taking it back to the dealer.
