After a quick spin it's in pieces again, started removing all the coolant hoses.

Some clown put a clamp on facing the engine for the heater hose, just enough room to get your hand at the back of engine bay. Took 20 minutes to get pliers on it. Then took 30 to get a T40 bolt some engineer clown decided to use 1.5 inch from the header heat shield for a heater hose bracket. I guess a standard hex bolt would have been too easy. Had to Gorilla tape a T40 screwdriver bit to a 1/4 wrench to get it out. My rachet Torx bits were too long.

And I had a jug to catch the coolant. Which it did until I noticed a hole half way up emptied a gallon on the floor.

Got the new heater hoses on. Waiting one the Upper and Lower hoses tomorrow.

Back in 1994 when we bought our Z28 for the wife's DD and popping the hood and really looking around in there, is when I decided my working on our DD was over. From then on I bought extended warranties. All my toys since then I work on are old stuff mostly trucks and elcaminos. The newer stuff are fun to drive, working on them takes more patience then I have, and I can't bend around like I used too. Good luck, have fun wish I had the patience.

Funny enough the 5th gen camaros are easier (space wise) to work on over the 4th gens according to everyone who has owned both.

It was of my favorite cars, I was lucky enough to have that an a Impala at the same time both 94s. My wife put 60k miles my son put another 60k on it. We used as an extra for another 20k. I got talked into selling to my mechanics son for 3k, that lasted about two wks he totaled it. Should have kept it great car.

All new hoses in. The little hoses to the TB and overflow look fine(inside) so leaving them for now. They are on top so simple enough, even have the overflow hose already.

Only thing I wonder about is it uses H1 for low beams. If the beam pattern isn't great it could be stupid bright for oncoming traffic.

But the seller says it has 60 day return for any reason. And I really wouldn't be driving the car at dark very much.

Crap, I didn't know AutoZone rents out everything you need for AC Repair. Guess I go to O Rielly too much. Might just go get the Z28 tomorrow, stop by and rent the tools and get an evaporator core, flush kit and o rings set, Schrader valves, and go from there, maybe an accumulator to be safe.
