If you have DL3 Mirrors, you can do the same diode mod if you want the puddle lamps to come on anything the dome lamp is on.

Grey connector on the far left. Thick grey wire is the dome lamp circuit. Diode Stripe toward the thinner grey (with green stripe).

For the life of me,I can't see the numbers, what are the wire colors for fogs lights with low beam/ park lights

Posted

I've looked up the high beam/ fog light mod on this forum but the wires which are described and the pic doesn't match what my wiring harnes has. Did the reverse and cargo light mod and works perfect!!!

When this thread first started, it started out as Fog Lights on with High Beams.

Pins #10 & #18

Then it was determined that #10 & #22 was better as the fog lights would be on with low beam AND stay on with High Beam.

So then everyone moved to 10 & 22

Are you able to unplug these modules to make it easier to add the diode? I never did and it was a real pain doing the fog/high back when this thread was started. Thinking of doing reverse/cargo but held off as I wasn't trying to cram up under there again.

I unplug the connector from the BCM before inserting. Makes it easier and I feel safer doing it with it unplugged.

ALSO cutting the diode wire on an angle with wire snipes helps when inserting the end of the diode into the harness.

That would have shaved a lot of time off lol should be a quick fix this time around then.

Appreciate it. I remember that diode wire wanting to bend an awful lot when I was inserting.

My cargo light mod set up is exactly like the pic, but the fog light mod on this pic is different from another post. I see the diod going in the blue wire/ I can't see the other one. Helps me a bit, I'll try again. So the low beam circuit wire does stay on when the high beam is triggered for the fog lights???

The diode that goes into Pin #22 (Dark blue) comes from Pin #10 (two slots below). Pin #10 (can't be seen) should he a Brown Solid wire.
