Iphone 6 & 6 Plus

So even though I'm against anything apple, especially mobile until they quit locking the daylights out of them, I'm still curious as to what everyone thinks.

Trying to not be completely negative in my views other than this. What happened to all the apple fans saying they didn't need a larger screen and laughing at Android phones for the last 2 years because they keep getting bigger. Now those same people seem to be drooling over the 6 Plus...

Rant aside, somewhat.

What puzzles me is why only 720 on the 6? I understand 1080 on the Plus though.

The other thing is I've read they are doing away with the 32 GB versions and going with just 64 and 16, why not do away with the 16 and keep 32/64?

Build quality appears to be the typical Iphone so that's a good thing.

Apples finally coming around and accepting NFC and creating their own version of google wallet is good for everyone. Even if I've yet to use NFC, and don't plan doing so any time soon.

Seems like the camera has improved and people seem to think apple has superior camera vs Windows or Android phones. So any improvement there is always a good thing.

The displays are pointless to be higher res. everything I've read claims our eyes can't see much above where the last phones were at.

The 6 Plus is absurd. My work phone has a 5" screen and I hate it. I wouldn't mind my 5S being a tiny bit bigger so hopefully the 4.7" does that without being too big. We'll see. I'm in no huge rush to upgrade but I will be staying with Apple. I've had my HTC work phone for a week and I see zero advantages compared to iOS and tons of drawbacks.

I'll be getting one or the other. I will have to play with each one to see how I like the size. I have an iphone 5 now, but I wish it was slightly bigger. I will probably end up with the regular Iphone 6.

I also really like the apple watch

I don't care for the bigger screen. I have a 4S and it's about right for me. I don't see the point of big screens on phones, unless you're almost blind or something. I don't like how you can't add memory to an iPhone. Most of the features on the last 3 generations of iPhones were on something else before, but when apple does it it's "innovative".

Really the only things keeping me from Android are I want a waterproof case, don't want a huge screen, and my 4s still works good. I don't even want 4G, 3G works ok and 4G doesn't come in well around here. I'm on wifi when I'm somewhere 4G does come in so it doesn't matter.

I like the bigger screens because it's easier to look at the phone for long periods of time without getting a headache. The easier I can read everything the easier it is on me.

With that being said I wouldn't want anything over 5" so the Plus is out for me. I think I'm getting the regular 6 at upgrade time. It's a little smaller than my Droid, but it's still big enough.

Not upgrading keeping my 5S

Wife needs a new one not sure if we will go 5 or 6

People can joke about iPhone all they want but now that I'm forced to use an Android phone for work I can safely say its crap. iPhone may not be first to market with features but when it does get something (aside from maps...), it generally works great. To make this new phone not be a POS I've had to try two or three different keyboards, and to duplicate the do not disturb functionality of the iPhone I had to try as many DND apps as well. People can boast about Android being customizable all they want but I'll take a phone that actually works right out of the box.

The only thing I can safely say I live about the iphones are the looks.

Same here, I have a 4S personal phone and a S4 work phone. The S4 is junk to me compared to the iPhone. I am not an Apple fanboy I could care less who makes it. I just want it to work. The iPhone does that best for me

Truth about the sleep button. Hasn't worked on my 4s for over a year.

Apple stores generally repair that for free if you ask nice. And it's a pretty easy DIY repair if you buy the kit with the screwdriver for the impossibly small hardware.

Wut is an apple store? Ain't got them in the hills.

The phone is 2 years old. I have the tools because I've changed the battery which died in less than a year. Just haven't felt like pulling the whole phone apart to replace a stupid ribbon.

I ordered my 4.7 inch 6 this morning. I am by no means an apple fanboy, but I like new stuff and I cannot stand android OS.

I also have no desire for a 5.5 inch screen. I would not have ordered one if that was the only option.

I always said if the iPhone ever let me down I would try something else...I've had an original 3G, 3GS, 4 and now a 5S. Not one has actually stopped working, the 4 was dropped into a lake I had to dive for it...the other two were indestructible it seemed. Only reason why I upgraded was because I wanted too...

So people can knockem, but hell I've had good luck I think they make a damn fine product.

I also owned blackberries which were junk, my woman has owned a couple androids which have screwed up too she's now onto an iPhone 5
