Radio antenna

Picked up my first GMC truck last week. Love it so far. 2104 black on black crew cap SLT.

The factory antenna was to tall for my parking garage at work so picked up a cheap rubber one from autozone for the time being but it is a piece.

Anybody have any recommendations?

Thanks. Found one on Amazon, reviews were saying it didn't fit the 14. I will just order it and give it a shot.

My reception is still fine. I noticed before buying mine that some people had issues installing and issues with reception. I haven't had any. It was a little difficult to thread on but you can get it with patience.

I had a stubby on my '11. Probably shorter than pkpouttu's. Reception was perfectly fine. Though I used my iPhone or XM most of the time. Just nice to have the antenna out of the way. Got it from one of the on-line truck shops.

Man I used to have a short antenna on my old truck.... it was was probably 12" or so and pretty rigid (didn't flap in the wind) and it had the spiral wire wrap around it for wind noise, and it was great reception. I wish I could find the vendor again. Anyone know of an antenna similar to the one I am describing? -Thank you

this is mine, it's just like what you described... the top of the picture is cut off, it's right at a foot tall though

I routed mine under my hood on both of mine but used the small round grommet from bed to cover hole. Just be careful not to pull wire from antenna. ...free mod and about same reception.
