Which bed liner to choose

I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado regular cab with the short box... Trying to decide on the best bed liner for the price. I have looked into the weather-tech, rhino, and the dual-liner. Wanting to know personal opinions on which might be best. I like the idea of getting the weather-tech for around $170 vs paying $300-$400 for the others, but I'm also worried about moisture getting under the weather-tech lining and causing rust over time. Any input is appreciated.

I have a spray in liner, Armorthane, similar to Rhino and linex. I have been very happy with it, almost 12 years and it is holding up well.

Honestly, after having a spray in liner in this trucks vs the drop in plastic of my last, I will always do spray in from now on. They take up less room in the bed, just about indestructible, will never rattle, no worries about rusting under the liner. It's more about what you like but for the money, I'd go spray in every time. I got Line-X, held up to Alaska winters and Georgia summers for 8 years and counting.

I just had a Bullet Liner sprayed in. Love it so far.

That's kind of what I figured most would say.. I think I'll go with the spray in even though it's more money up front, sounds like I will be happier with it in the long run.

I also recomend shopping around, I found the vendor that sprayed my bed at an Outdoors/Sportmans trade show. They used the "bed Liner" on all their horse trailers and sprayed truck beds as a side business to keep their volume discount.

I went with Line-X Premium, it was resonable at $499 + $100 for the premium black (lifetime guarantee not to fade to gray).

 

People that see it regret not going for the premium, the shop by me did a great job.

 

I actually have a drop in plastic one from the factory but I wasn't a huge fan of it.

Have had drop in and spray on. Go with the spray on. In the long run I think its a better value.

Only one I would EVER consider is the BedTred made by Bedrug. It is easy on the knees, does not absorb water, removeable, does not scuff the paint underneath, and has that spray in neat appearance.

Ive both and i recommend the spray in. Not only is it better things dont slide around like the plastic one.

Definitly go with a bedrug. All my friends have spray in liners and they are not that great. I have a bedrug in mine and love it. It keeps things from sliding around and it won't beat up anything you put in there. Also install is not permanent. You can take it back our if you ever decide. It won't hold mosture between it and the bed to no rust or molding issues. I've had mine for almost as long as I've had my truck and if I were to go back to when I was choosing a bedrug, I'd definitly go this route again. It makes the truck seem 100x's nicer. A lot of my friends see the bedrug and say "Damn, this truck is so classy it even has carpet in the bed!" Also having a bedrug can increase resale value as it actually protects your bed. Spray ins hurt the resale because it is irreversible. And also as I pretty much already said, a bedrug (and it's sister part, the bedtred) are the ONLY bed liners that actually protect the bed. Spray ins require you to sand the bed and remove all paint. Therefore if it ever gets chipped up, you now are susceptible to rust. Also, not saying you do or do not use your truck for a lot of heavy loads but, let's say you need to carry a large amount of bricks, if you start dropping them in there on a spray in, you are likely do start denting the bed with at least a half dozen of those dropped bricks. The bedrug has 3/4" foam under the surface to protect the bed from dents. And a drop in liner would just take the weight and if you have any dirt, or any chips from the bricks, under the drop in liner, then shifts in the liner will scratch and remove paint and once again, you now are open to rust

 

 

I want to end this by saying I am in NO way affiliated with Bedrug or any other liner company. I just did a lot of research on this subject when I went to get my bed liner.
