what speed restrictor? We are talking about cabin filter.

He has another post in the forum about these trucks being governed. I think he asked the dealer if they could turn it off. That must have been their response that it was illegal.

Ahhh yes. All bent out of shape because he wants his truck to go faster then it was designed to and thinks GM needs to listen to him anyway and do what he wants. That topic was locked and closed for a good reason. GM is not going to do it. If you want to go fast though, please feel free to stop by and purchase a police package 2WD Tahoe which should get you to... about 138 MPH and it comes with a certified speedomoter too!! Oh wait, they won't sell police package vehicles to the public. Guess that leave you having to get a Camaro or Corvette :) Have a nice day.

GM 22808781/ACDelco #CF188 is the only filter available at this time.

Ordered my CF188 on Amazon, $13.64 Prime (no shipping charges). Changing it today.

Asked my dealer this past Wednesday when I was in for oil change because at about 14k miles their is an odor. They said these trucks do not have a cabin filter lol. Have to take in Tuesday for headlight bulb replacement. Will definitely show them the manual pg 8-10.

I showed that quote to Hiley gmc in Grapevine Tx. They told me no such notice existed, right after they told me it was "against the law "to make changes to the speed restrictor! Will be taking to another dealer, as now after Hiley touched my truck my ambient temp sensor thinks it is in Wisconsin.

Hiley is the the worst dealer in the metroplex. Take it to Classic next time.

I just changed my cabin filter after 18,000 miles . I was surprised how dirty it was . From here on out I'm going to change it every 15,000 miles.

Can anyone else remember which way the air flow arrow should point when reinstalling. To the floor or pointing up?
