pgamboa Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Here is a How-To Video on this. Tinkering Fox did really well with this how-to.
Mike GMC Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 That's awesome! I'll be doing that next weekend if my parts show up this week. 1
cbrsilv15 Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 Awesome, straight forward video!! He made it look so easy though. Lol. That clockspring plug for the airbag was a PITA to run for me.

Thanks guys for producing that. Can anyone provide a video or some screen shots of how to run the wire from the fuse block if you have the connector under the dash but it's dead? 1

Can anyone provide a video or some screen shots of how to run the wire from the fuse block if you have the connector under the dash but it's dead? Will be working on a Pigtail harness for this run. I may have two versions. Version 1 - If you already have the 2-Pin mate but it’s not landed into the X201 connector and X51L Fuse, it’ll be a single wire with terminals on each end. Version 2 - If you do not have the 2-Pin mate at all (down in the steering column) then a 2-Pin Connector (to mate up with the clock spring end) and turns to the X51L Fuse Block. Sierra Boy Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 I have not done this yet but I can be put on list for both just in case? 2015 GMC SLT 2500 HD Sierra Boy
SWOYER Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 This feature is awesome, whatever it takes, put it in. And for those that say it's "too hot".... you know you can hit a button, literally next to your thumb, to turn it off. 1
Mike GMC Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 So my parts arrived today. Looking at the clock spring, it has 2 connectors for the air bag. The video above posted by bkesting, only shows 1 air bag connector. I haven't gotten mine apart yet, but that seem odd that some would single and others would have 2 connectors. Any insight to why there would be more that 1 style would be appreciated. 1

TinkeringFox Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 It may be the difference between a 1/2 ton and an HD. 1

Mike GMC Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Cool. Makes me feel better and that I likely have the right parts.
