i actually have a small amount of white diamond vinyl. my adillac CTS was white diamond.

it was made by avery vinyl however it was discontinued a couple year ago, it was also crazy expensive in comparison to standard colours.

the amount to do your front bumper at dealer cost would have been about $150-200

I've purchase two rolls of Avery pearl vinyl in the last month or so. It's still being sold. :thumbs:

well thats kinda awesome to hear. its a fairly good match to GM White Diamond, double layered makes it match better, or put down plain white first.

Here's a real amateur question about vinyl wraps that I need an answer to

 

How much vinyl should I order to cover the whole front bumper? Only doing areas that are chrome. I figure for the rear bumper a 12"x72" piece should be good or is this incorrect? Never used vinyl wrap before so I have no idea

Measure and then add a few inches so you can actually wrap things like the bumper and for errors. For larger pieces it will help to have an extra set of hands. The stuff is very workable and does best when stretched and then heated once everything is in place.

So back to my original question before the thread was taken over - has anyone done this on their Summit White vehicle? I'd like to see some input before I pull the trigger and do it.

It's not white...anymore, but this will give you an idea of how good wraps look. And they are very durable.

I just ordered 5ft by 23.5ft of white vinyl for under $100. I will make my own post after I get it.

Post some pictures or a link to the thread you post it in if you don't mind. I'm curious to see how it turns out and matches. I'm waiting until spring to wrap/paint, but would like to have a decision made soon
