Rattle

I guess I didn't understand because you don't write very well, but I dumbed myself down 80% and figured out that when you wrote "posed" you meant to write "posted", and when you wrote "in" you meant to write "is". Now it all makes sense.

not so much that I don't write very well, I mean i don't write books or anything but i have decent writing skills, good enough skills to get me through college and work. my problem is i do not reread my post. but yes what i was trying to say is; referencing the picture that you posted, you are pointing to the charcoal canister. just for your information.

and people are correct, the charcoal canister itself is not rattling however prob one of the plates that "protect" it or the gas tank is what is rattling. i also have a rattle on my truck but only hear it when i close my door and i have my exhaust flap thing opened with a host clamp.

nah it's cool, i mean it came off kinda dick-ish but at the same time i could see how my comment confused you due to my grammar mistakes, plus i understood what you were trying to saying. we all know how hard it is to convey peoples tone via text.

I haven't driven my truck for over a week (on vacation). My son started it and said that there was a rattling noise coming from the truck, He said it sounded like something stuck in a fan. Nice to hear when your on vacation.

It has been cold in the northeast, when I returned home last night I started my truck it sounds like heat shield or something.

There is no issue in driving the truck is there, planning on calling the dealer today

thanks

No issue in driving, but please let us know what dealer says.

I crawled under my truck and found the source of my noise. it was a plastic shield by the starter and fly wheel.

I loosened the bolt and adjusted the shield and noise went away.

TX15Z71 did you find the source of your rattle?

I haven't had the time to inspect it further, but I'm definitely going to look into your suggestion as well as what tutiii discovered. Thanks for checking.

Does this sound like your startup noise?

Hey thats my video! This was determined to be a normal sound. Still not sure what it is. But all the new trucks do it.

I was told fuel pump by dealer.

Hmm... So are they saying its a normal noise or something that they can fix?

yep, they all do it. Says its normal. I looked at the video and see a commenter mentioned a dealer told him the same.

I have a 2015 GMC Sierra Denali Crew Cab. Mine makes a rattle, that sounds like a chain dragging, at speeds less than 40. What I THINK it is, is the exhaust heat shield that sits just under the right rear passenger compartment. It looks like a pie pan and is only supported by a couple of stand-off bolts. That leaves the reat of the pan to flutter. Sort of a harmonic resonance. It is annoying to say the least. I am thinking of getting a stand off from a plumbing shop and trying to add it to the others. Not sure yet.
