Back in the day I used to drool over these trucks, and I still do.

from the article:

HARD to find 1990 Chevrolet 1500 454SS and what makes this one "One of a Kind" is that it has 7 ACTUAL MILES! Yes this is not a typo, 7 miles! The story of this truck is this truck was bought NEW at this very dealership when it was Pete Gunn Chevrolet and under a different Owner. If you look at the Original window sticker you will see the address is the very same. The gentleman bought 2 and this one has spent its entire life in a garage under a car cover. So this truck is ONE OWNER!!!! It has been checked from front to back and is literally in NEW CONDITION! It still has the original plastic on the seats.

I graduated high school in 1990. Guy up the street drove his by my house every day. I was driving a piece of junk 1979 LUV pickup (but I kept it for a long time because it was my grandfather's). Dreamed of the 454 SS being in my driveway.

Drove one brand new and a brake light was on.. I said something about it and service tech told me By pulling a certain fuse they wouldn't register the miles you put on it..

I remember them, and skipped by uninterested.

small blocks were breaking frames here.

a carbed monte carlo ss was also 230-250 hp, limited to 153mph.

I ended up owning one in 1996.. a 1984 mint condition.

good for 115-120...

after the holley swap.

I ponder that is where the black trend began.. the 454ss.

Can't say for sure.

I graduated an early out in 1991, ran off to enlist for gulf 1.

Nothing was impressive.. until going way back to a 65+ chevelle 396.

or building it yourself.

done that too much.
