Anyone comment on sound on air raid MIT under normal acceleration / crusing speed RPM?

Maybe I'm getting older but one thing I love about my 2kxx over my gmt900 is how quiet the cabin is. Like to slap in an MIT and a decent stock replacement filter (K&N or maybe explore dry filters) to get that small gain in efficiency but if it's going to be loud I may steer clear. I know on my 2011 and my 2004 the K&N intake made the fine much growlier but alas not what I'm going for any more .

Airaid MIT is much quieter on my '17 than it was on '11, and I reused the same tube.

K&N high capacity filter in the stock box.

Only make some additional noise during heavy throttle

Now that i have the exhaust installed they make a beautiful sounding pair

I put the K&N Blackhawk on my 2016 5.3. Noticeable chance in sound (in a good way). Hard to tell a performance difference, but as most people have pointed out, it's nominal, likely a 10HP gain. All said and done I was $360 bucks with tax/shipping.

2nd on the Cold Air induction system. I just installed one and I like the sound combined with my GM Borla catback touring exhaust. The clear top and near chrome tube look awesome. This system is quality built and makes some pretty music on a 6.2 If you have plenty of disposable income well chit go buy what you like LOL. Never going to justify the expense of a CAI by saying that it produced HP / Torgue and MPG increases that is all BS the payoff would be like 100 years LMFAO

I did the MIT w/Dry Fliter on my 16 Denali. There is a slight increase in sound but only noticeable on acceleration while in the truck. I also replaced the stock muffler with a Borla and with the 2 combined I have experienced about 1-2 miles more per gallon.

 

That being said, I only spent around $275 for both the MIT and Muffler installed. I am happy with the results and did not drop a ton of money.
