Really love mine. 6,000 miles so far and not 1 issue. I am not the kind of guy that would drive a 10 year old truck, I traded in a 2012 to get the 14 and have zero regrets......

I have a 14 GMC All Terrain with the 5.3.. Smoothiest truck I've owned.. Best truck I've ever owned and I've owned them all.. LOVE THIS TRUCK!! I only have 2 complaints 1) the headlights don't shine far enough.. 2) no ventilated front seats..

A lot of people come here to resolve issues, and whine. I would have to say the average owner without issues isn't gonna come here, and say his truck is awesome. I had a slight vibration above 70 that brought me here, resolved the issue over 20,000 miles ago, and effing love my truck!! One of my favorite parts is pulling away from hemi's, and ecoboosts.

I'm put 21,000km on mine so far. Best truck I've ever driven. It is so quiet going down the highway. I have driven friends' and family's BMWs, Lincolns, Audis, etc. These trucks are on par with them in terms of noise and ride quality. No comparison to Ford and Ram trucks, and this is coming from someone who has driven fords for 11 years.

Here are my complaints:

Horrible gas mileage during the winter with bigger tires.

Plastic "skid plate" is garbage and is hanging off.

I have never brought it to the dealer for warranty work. I don't like to bash other brands, but that didn't happen with my last 2 new ford trucks.

The OP is right the '00-13 were great trucks! It is safe to say overall that these news ones simply are not there yet.

Old ones you could figure a fuel pump every 100,000 and maybe a front end rebuild around 200,000.

New ones right out of the gate are needing a lot to get going.

OP have you thought about grabbing a clean low mileage '12-'13? You would love the 6-speed.

So what has been repaired on your truck and do you have a 14 or 15?

I've got almost 20k trouble free miles on mine.

the internet is turning into the epitome of a meeting ground for mouth breathers and whiners. going off what your read here is like going to your local BBB and asking if everyone is happy with whatever they just bought.

you know what most happy problem-free customers (i am one of them) are doing? out driving their trucks and living life. the unfortunate ones that run into trouble spend 1000% more energy voicing their lack of satisfaction. think about it - are you out and active on every single product forum you're totally satisfied with singing its praises? probably not.

i wager if you are resorting to an internet forum to sway whether you ought to buy a new truck, then you are not in a well-educated position to pull the trigger on a new truck. if your lack of faith in build quality or for your dealer to take care of any issues you have, then just wait.

Father in law has a 6.2/8spd,and has had all the trans issues, still unresolved. 4 guys at work have them, and NONE havent made at least 2 trips back for issues. One of them has had 2 transmissions, an injector harness, and a power seat motor fail.

Couple that with the issues I see online and yeah, call me skeptical.

I was SUPER stoked when I heard about the 6.2 for this gen, and was dead set on one.

Now, no way in hell.

This may be a surprise to you BUT it's NOT only GM that has issues with a newly designed vehicle, it's all manufacturers. Vehicles are just like everything else mass produced, you are taking a chance when purchasing, that's why the vehicle comes backed by a warranty. When/ / if something goes wrong, take it to the dealership for repair. Hopefully they can fix the issue in a timely manner and you are not out of a vehicle for a long period of time.

I don't think it's right to pay a large amount of money for a new truck and have nothing but problems but sometimes that happens, across the board wit hall vehicles no matter the make and model. All you can do is test drive the vehicle you wish to purchase and be sure everything seems fine. If you are not happy with it, try another. It's a roll of the dice when purchasing a new vehicle, always was and always will be.

So far I have been lucky. I have only ever had one vehicle that gave me fits after buying a new redesign. My 1999 (at the time new style) Jeep Grand Cherokee had a bad rear end. It was back and forth to the dealership several times for repair and was unfixable. When shifted into reverse, the pinion gears would bang loudly and the vehicle would jump

backward. Was very frustrating but out of my control. Luckily Chrysler bought the vehicle back and I no longer had to deal with it.

My 2015, is by far the most refined and capable truck I have ever owned. No issues to date. Would definitely buy another. I think Ford and Ram offer very competitive trucks. If you prefer those brands over a Silverado/Sierra then you should look at one. But don't shy away from a GM truck due to concerns over quality.

I only have 130 miles on my 2015 Sierra Denali and no way anyone can say these trucks are not better than the older trucks. They were good, I left my 2004 Sierra Denali and it was great, but nothing like the 2015. Only thing I have missed was the quadrasteer/4ws but I knew that wasn't an option. My 2004 ran great, but getting 13mpg, wind noise, interior rattle and no technology had to go

2015 Sierra Denali is a bad ass truck
