I like the added safety of the dovetail as well. The XDs and glocks are pretty similar guns. I find both reliable, I just find the XD more comfortable for me. They breakdown identically pretty much. I honestly don't think you could go wrong with an XD or XDS.

My first pistol was an XDm in .40cal, next was a Mod.2 in .45acp, not sure why I went with a Glock, probably because of the hype. Like I said, not a bad gun, and I'm not a fan boy for either one but I agree the added safety and the XD guns set better in my hand

Glad to hear you liked your xds 9mm. Thinking about trading in my Glock 43 on one. Not a bad gun, just the hype was there for no reason. Yeah it's light, and shoots great, but IMO the Springfield XD series guns are where it's at when it comes to polymer guns. I prefer the dovetail safety like a 1911 plus how easy it is to tear down compared to my 43

Let me know when you decide to sell your Glock 43. I'd be interested in buying it if the price is right.

How do you like HD'S? I've been thinking about a set for my glock. Also great choice on the HST's. For 9mm it's the best in my opinion.

Well from the original glock sights its like night and day.... Mine have the tridium inserts i think they are meprolights but the front sights are marked trijicon because well obviously they habe that market cornered. Bad picture but you get the point. post-143469-148120799217_thumb.jpg

That's exactly how I feel about my White Hat hybrid. Either way if you've never tried a hybrid IWB you are missing out!

Agreed.... Hybrids are the way to go for me. I just cant do the bravo concealments for IWB. The DOS and G19 are not a good combo for me. Love the OWB tho, plus supporting a local company is something i always try and practice.

Lately I'm still using the xds when I need lots of concealment but, EDC is typically S&W Bodyguard 380 in my pocket, S&W M&P 9mm 4.25 on my hip with two spare 17 round mags. It's a weird time in our country with all the small time Muslim extremists doing one off attacks I wanna make sure I get home safe.

Gen4 Glock 19 here...

I do currently reside in NJ, so I can neither confirm nor deny, that I may or may not carry my weapon on me.

I only carry 1 spare G19 mag but seriously considering putting a +2 baseplate or just carrying a G17 mag. I do have a few 33rnd mags but well.... Yah.. Lol

Glock 19 seems to be pretty popular. I am surprised to see some guys saying that they don't carry it in warmer weather, I carry a M&P 4.25 in a shorts and a t-shirt no problem IWB in a crossbreed super tuck, that gun is a little bigger than the G19 and a bit smaller than the G17...

Up till a few weeks ago I'd been carrying a G32 which is the same size but in 357 Sig since 2009. I had resisted the urge to step down to a smaller gun for a long time but it does carry very nicely.

I carry my G19 all the time...winter...summer...all bundled up or shorts and t-shirt. I had a little more worries about printing in a t-shirt when I carried at 4 'o clock position (also in a Crossbreed Supertuck, which is awesome BTW), but now I carry appendix and the only way I would have to worry about printing is if I was wearing a skin tight shirt. In normal clothes, its not an issue.
