Hello, new guy here in central NC.

I first want to apologize if my question has already been answered in an earlier post, & I'm far from a mechanic so forgive me if it's a stupid question.

 

So here goes, I have a 2003 GMC YUKON SLT 4X4 with 96000 miles. I always run the vehicle in 2wd and that indicator light is always on for that mode. Over the last day I've noticed the "red" indicator light for neutral is the only light on. And when I push 2wd button that light blinks a few times then goes out and the red neutral light comes back on. The vehicle still drives fine and seems to have no transmission issues and is driving in 2wd mode.

 

Any ideas of what this means or concerns I should have can't find anything in the owners manual.

Welcome

 

No questions are dumb, it sounds like your switch may be bad, this was a common issue with the gmt800 body style

 

Are you able to engage 4wd?
