Sad Vibe Day

Recommended Posts

Original poster, it wasn't this vehicle by chance? I wanted to buy it but it had a horrible vibration from 55-65. I bought its sister truck that did not have the vibration. Both had the tow package. It was really bad.

General thoughts:

- Yoke out of round

- Drive shaft out of round

- U-joint out of round

- Any of the above, specifically the drive shaft out of balance

- Drive line angles/ phasing incorrect

- Wheels out of round or balance

- Tires out of round.

- Axle shaft out of round, bolt holes drilled wrong.

While I feel 99% of vehicles would be cured with this complaint and those check I did not want to deal with it. What was funny was the salesperson could not even try to pretend it did not vibrate. It was like, let's find something else.

I have sold a ton of these trucks over the past two years and haven't had one complaint yet... and I do a heck of a lot of follow up. Even my fellow sales guys haven't had any complaints. I would honestly love to be in one to see what the issue is.

The only complaint I've had was a vibration and out of alignment issue. The owner later admitted he hit a curb at speed.

Over 418 pages on one topic alone and lets not forget the many other vibration topics on this site. I've never seen so much text on a single issue, anywhere, on any forum. And y'all call me a Troll!

I'm at Home Depot and see two Chevys and a GMC park near each other so I decided to wait around. A lady walks up to her Silverado. I ask her what year her truck is and does it have vibration issues. She saids it's a 2014 and it did but they were fixed. A few minutes later, the 2015 Sierra guy walks by so I drive up and asked him the same. Just like the fellow at work, he seems totally shocked that I knew. He said yes he does but it doesn't happen all the time. The sad part is he now knows he has the virus and for that I'm sorry. But, three out of three Texas trucks doesn't look good to me.

Also, what's all this stuff about road force balancing? Gee whiz, I can't rotate my tires or buy a new set of rubbers at Discount Tires without worrying the bug will rear it's ugly head.

I want the max trailering package which means I have to order a truck. Is it worth it? I can't test drive it and I don't think a 48 hour, let me try it first, will fly. Do you?

It is the internet, don't think I would worry about the troll comment. Besides, not all 4 pages of responses indicated that or anything close.

That stuff aside. Understand the concern based on what is posted. But if you have found 3 out of 3 owners with the same complaint, but a lottery ticket NOW.

When I started reading about complaints on here, I began asking people in person & all seemed happy.

Not saying the condition does NOT exist & know not all mfg'd products are perfect. But NONE of the responses indicated complaints or vibration issues.

Buy what you are happy with.

Most of that 418 pages are the same folks posting over and over. They certainly have valid issues with their trucks but you can't draw any solid conclusions from that thread's length.
