2016 Taillights

Their are plugs on the end of the resistors. I wanted everything to be easily removable and clean. Taking the lights out is literally a 30 second thing. And the connectors make them as "plug n' play" as possible!

Got it, thanks.

Sure I guess it's "hacked" up enough for installing $950 worth of tail lights.

Nice install.

I think you need your eyes checked if this is your definition of a hack job!

1 question ive heard you could get a led relay to fix the hyper flash instead of using resistors? Can anyone confirm and would this be better than resistors

Looks sweet man. I wish my 2016 LT had LED taillights to match the HID head lamps and the LED fogs but, Cheap-o GM probably had a back stock of the 14-15 tails that accounting said they needed to use up.

Since you can get the tail lights at a reasonable price, how about a group buy?

No. The relay is inside the BCM - you can't change it. You can, however, get a VCI calibration to disable the bulb outage detection. The process is simple -- the VCI is $50-80 and the BCM reprogram would be roughly $100 unless you have a good relationship with your dealer. It's a lot cleaner than resistors. Let me know if you need help with that.

The LED taillights are upsells for the LTZ and HC trim packages.

the ltz and HC get full LED headlights , daytime running lights , turnsignals , foglights and tails , all the others get projector headlights and normal tail lights and optional led fogs ......

Looks awesome, now if anyone wants to try the 2016 headlights....

That would be a expensive swap. probably 3K+ And thats just the headlights. I think youd have to probably change the bumper to.

i actually prefer my 2015 front setup over the 2016.

I think my next thing will be to get the console lid with the charger built into it.
