BTW the tab had expired by the time he PMed me. But I opened up a Chrome incognito window and got another one while building a new truck.

That's interesting so it appears that it does not matter what section of the website your in? I have been going under the vehicle location page and refreshing the page. I'm in PA and have not seen one once yet

I just wanted to post here that I was able to get a private offer thanks to groundtrooper. I had tried for a long time with all the tricks (chrome, incognito mode) and no luck.

Well, I called the dealer today for an order number, as its been a month since I placed the order, so I can start estimating eta and planning to try for a PO, but... it sounds like they may have forgotten to place my order... -_- says they placed the order in a hurry as just a normal dealer order and never attached my name to it.. So they say today they attached my name to it and it's marked as sold now. They also say I won't be able to track it for about 2 weeks... sounds like a coincidence to me since you cant track orders for about the first 2 weeks.

Having just gone through this process in February I can tell you that the first 2 weeks are a little quiet and slow. The progress that is does make is nothing to get excited about.

If you have your order number you can open a chat with Chevrolet.com or GMC.com and they can get you order updates. And if you get the right person they will offer you a weekly email with where your truck is in the order/build process.

 

Also you should be able to get the order number right after my dealer placed it. They faxed my order/build sheet for my signature and commitment to buy the truck I ordered. So I would say that maybe they did drop the ball on getting it ordered.

 

Also if you are ordering, don't bother chasing a PO until they at least have a Target Production Week date. From that date it takes about 2 to 3 weeks not pending any transportation issues.

GMConnects is not owned or run by anyone affiliated with GM. If you register there you will get spammed or malware or worse.

 

You just go to which ever site you are getting your truck from gmc.com or chevrolet.com. There is a menu option for Contact Us and just open a chat. Pick the option to check on an order and Tell them your order number.
