anyone ever replaced their rear back window with a power slider? if so have you had any issues? I was quoted $1200 but not sure it's worth the money.

If I'm being honest, I'm not sure I'd use it that much, I just like the way it looks compared to the solid window. I know they make manual sliding windows, but I don't want to lose my rear defroster.

I would have liked to have it but dont think its worth 1200 bucks. If I had to replace it anyway for some reason guess Id consider it.

Rear slider is one of the things I wish I really would have gotten.

I had a manual slider on my old truck. Didn't use it as often as I thought I would. I even specifically bought it with it, thinking I'd use it all the time.

Dropping the rear windows is much more effective.

I get turbulance sometimes if I have all 4 down a little, and really bad if it's just the rear 2.

my new 2015 2500 hd has a rear slider with defrost so you don't have to lose it.

is it a manual slider? I was told it had to be power slider to keep defroster?

I wish there was an aftermarket kit that would drop the whole back window (like the Tundra has). That would be worth $1200 to me!

Not sure the little box in the middle is worth that kind of money.

I've been looking at doing this also on my 2011....when you weigh the cost and how much you'll use it, the decision gets a little tougher. EBay has some decent "buys"......but, it's well......EBay. If you do it, please post pics!

Yeah, mine is a power sliding w/defrost. It actually does a good job at eliminating the turbulance when you want to drive with the windows down. The biggest problem is trying to remember to close it at night.

I use mine all the time, the dogs love it and I also use a vaporizer and on the interstate with the window all the way open you can hardly tell.

I think he was just saying that with the factory slider, you still have defrost.

I guess I'm the only one that didn't want a power slider.. one of the first mods I did after getting my truck.
