I have the painted alloy wheels right now but have the option to switch to the polished aluminum wheels with the Denali stamp. I am having trouble deciding on whether to stay with the current ones I have or switch to the polished ones. Looking for some input!

Painted or chrome. Not a fan of the polished. They always look dull or dirty to me.

Polished all the way, the 20" polished Denali wheels are my 2nd favorite new design behind the 20" all terrain wheels- which I have. I nearly bought a '15 Denali over my all terrain (close in price both 6.2 loaded) and I was negotiating to have the Denali price dropped by swapping out the 22"s they had on it @ the dealer specifically because a) 22"s no thanks on a truck and no thanks in the northeast plus I hate chrome, and b) I think the polished 20"s look really sharp/clean and will look good still in 10 years vs the more radical designs and the chrome 22"s

Chrome wheels look great until you start using them- tough to keep looking good over the years as any chips will cause the chrome plating to begin pitting and peeling- and you can end up losing the bead and have continuos slow leaks.

Take some AL polish of any type and a polishing pad (the type you attach to a drill) and go to work on old dull polished aluminum rims and you can bring them back to showroom shine AND hide blemishes/scuffs as well. Throw on thin wax coat and they'll stay looking good for a long time

Just my opinion. Have had them all and never had an issue with any. I don't go 4 wheeling and i don't live somewhere they put salt or chemical out in the winter. Polished wheels are just a PITA compared to paint or chrome. I clean my truck at least once a week so polishing wheels that often just sucks.

Yeah absolutely depends on where you live and how you use your truck, chrome rims can look good and are easier to keep looking good vs painted or polished I suppose (at least on the "face" of the wheel)

There have been some members who have had their chrome rims corrode and lose the ability to keep a bead w/ the rim though FYI - but that can happen to any chrome rim not just gmc

i thought the painted and polished wheels have a clear coat on them?? so there should be no need to polish them like the old school wheels.

My wheels are painted and clear coated, never polished them. Wipe down with a wet rag and they shine again.
