Mud flaps needed?

I added the factory mud flaps to my 2015 Denali after not having them on my 2014 Denali. The factory black ones go great with the factory black trim and don't stand out much visually at all. They really help keeping water, dirt, and rocks off the side.

I looked at weather tech and they install with existing fasteners.

I'm not sure about the factory mud flaps until I get them -but I believe that they will do the same?

I know, I really didn't want to add them but figured that they would disappear with all of the other black on mine.

I have some cheap ones from Canadian Tire. They came with screws but all I did was drill holes to match the existing screws in the wheel well and used those to hold them on.

Factory ones require drilling/rivets. Weather tech is no drill

Yes, the Weather Techs are no drill, which is nice. And the look "factory" to me.

I have the weathertechs on my silverado but I don't think they look factory from the front. As in if you were staring towards the bed from the front of the truck. I'll take some pictures tomorrow but I don't THINK factory looks like the way weathertechs do.

I got the husky mud flaps. They look great and fit perfect. There is a small notch to allow for the factory plastic piece to fit (the mini faux mud guard on the trucks). They say they are no-drill, the front fits perfect, uses a combination of double sided tape and the factory fasteners (3 or 4 on the front). The rear only has two fasteners, both near the bottom, so there is an optional drill spot near the top, I went ahead and drilled and fastened the rears, they are all very solid.

After 250,000 miles, I wish I would have put mudflaps on. I personally can't stand the look of them, but it would have prevented this:

But, I did fix it with 3M rubber undercoating spray:

These are in excellent shape in comparison to what's left of my rockers..... Glad you are wanting to get ahead of it now! I also used my truck extensively off road and on construction sites for 10 years, so that explains the "severe" wear and tear.

Looks pretty darn good with the 3M put on there! Rust is the only reason I got rid of my 2002, quarter panels and rocker panels were shot. Have you looked under your side moldings on your truck yet? Then again you may not want to, may not like what your find.

You mean this?!?

This is the good side. Passenger side is way worse. The rockers are completely missing on the back half of the passenger side. It was my "work truck" for many years, and now I just use it for hauling since I still have it. Next truck will be maintained a lot better....

No, I meant under the plastic wheel well things, that is mine first started. It probably don't matter how well you took care of it though. Mine was washed out from underneath the best I could for 12 winters but it still rotted out on me at the end.
