Front Air Dam

Countless people here and hundreds, if not thousands more I've just happened to pass have the stupid thing removed and no one is overheating. I pulled it off my 2011 within the first week I had it and drove it for about 75k like that. The new trucks would be no different.

As previously mentioned the trucks rad is sealed to the grill...... it's function has zero to do with cooling. But the poster of that BS also can't figure out why 6.2's operate better on premium gas among multiple other things he openly cannot figure out nor wants to listen to anyone else's opinion or facts..... If no one notices he will usually post something stupid once per thread to stir the pot and leave.... that is what you call a troll....

 

Pull it off and enjoy not dragging it everywhere you drive that isn't paved. You should see the trucks operations run up here and you would laugh. I am pretty sure not one of them has a valence that is still completely intact if not already torn off.

Cracked mine this past winter driving thru snow drifts. Going to remove it sometime before the summer is over.

Is that a trimmed down air dam? Seems more cosmetically pleasing that outright removing it. Just getting ideas what I want to do.

People have removed them completely and it exposes the multiple mounting tabs so instead of dealing with that eyesore that I know would annoy me. I just trimmed it to be more appealing to me.

We used a reciprocating saw and a pcv blade. Brother runs a pool company and is very handy with that saw, cut almost a perfect line where I wanted it with no melting or anything. Quick and easy. We did it off the truck since it was already off at that time but doing on would work great if not better as it would be more rigid when cutting.

I took mine off nicely before I ripped it off and it took other things out with it.

Took mine off a month after I got the truck and haven't had one issue in the two years since.

This. Damn think is held on with so many bolts and clips it just may take out or damage the whole bumper if you hit something good.

The damn dam is cracked on my 2012. Going to be taking it off soon. high snow drifts did mine in.
