Stuttering acceleration with 75% throttle at higher rpms

This seems to happen almost every time now.

When giving a lot of gas from a stop (not wot) and accelerating up to higher rpm, the acceleration begins to stutter as if it's not getting constant fuel.

I tried WOT a few times too but didn't have this issue. Only when giving 50-75% throttle. It's pretty noticeable and extremely frustrating for a near new engine.

Has anyone noticed this? I don't believe it's the transmission. I'm guessing it's electrical and has to do with fuel delivery. I hope I'm not the only one or this is something I can recreate to have the dealer figure out.

6,900 miles. Haven't even needed an oil change yet, so I haven't touched the intake.

I'm gonna go with possible loose plug wire. It's happened many a time. If you'd like to diagnose yourself, find a DARK spot and watch under the hood while it idles.

More exotic causes could be bad/weak injector, cracked plug, even intake leak. But let's start simple. Nothing wrong with picking the low hanging fruit.

It is possible you got some water in the fuel. Run some high octane fresh gas through the tank with a bottle of Chevron Techron injector cleaner. Try the simplest fix before doing anything else.

Here is where I'm at today:

1) Checked the plug wires. All were seated properly.

2) Added some Heet. Will have to run a few weeks to see if it was bad fuel.

I was going to write the following before reading this. Sounds like a similar issue.

For several months now every now and than (not enough to to show the dealer) my truck when accelerating from a stop feels like it's almost getting flooded with gas. It will be from a stop at low RPM's - 1500 to 2500. Sometimes I will need to let up for a second or two before giving it gas again. When I do this it seems to work fine or it will downshift after giving it gas again and work fine again. There have been a few times that when it starts I'll give it more gas to see what will happen and it will just bog down (it will accelerate but not very quickly).

It did it before I put my intake (Air Raid Jr.) and exhaust (Borla GM) on. Not sure about it doing it before my catch can (basic Elite can) was installed. I'm concerned the dealer will blame it on one of those so I think I'll switch out the intake and remove the catch can before taking it in if nobody has any suggestions.

I'm going to go check my plug connects now.

I have the same issue. Feel it all the time when accelerating to merge into traffic. Feels like it's not getting enough fuel and kind of stumbles. I've had passengers comment about it without me saying anything.......

Anyone have a fix for this?

mine is in the shop for a new wiring harness. They gave my a 2016 cruze and it does the same thing....I'm going to say it's a normal gm thing

My '14 acted a little funny as well. The increase in RPM wasn't linear, it was almost like it was stepped, and would rise, then plateau, then rise again. I long for the gold ol' days when cars and trucks were programmed for driveability, and the programmers could actually program the systems effectively.

torque converter problem? it seems like my truck is going through this same problem right now.

Interesting topic, curious to hear if folks have found solutions. I noticed this recently while getting on the highway ramp. It's so subtle though I wasn't sure if it was my imagination or not.
